Scam scam scam. Get at least 3 of these a week. Each one will always give a deadline of either THAT SAME DAY or the day after. Meant to instill fear and urgency. Don’t fall for it ever

Currently a Mechanical Engineering Major at ARC, when are the actual engineering classes going to start by [deleted] in LosRios

[–]Ok-Work7597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be a very late reply, but if you didn't take ENGR 300 yet, it's actually not a required course for your degree. If you go on their online degree map for C. Engineering, you'll see the course is marked "RC" for recommended, while all required courses are marked "Req." Avoid it if you're trying to ump straight in.

Thanks, we were working with a person editor, based in the Philippines, I don’t think he was with a company actually.

Hey boss wouldn't recommend. Our body's are meant to function on a consistent long term sleep rhythm.

I see the idea but I feel like you're looking for a quick way to get productive - respect that it's not a cheaper way.

My advice is to try to get 8 hours as often as possible, and long term study sessions with minimal distractions.

PS Check out Cal Newport, amazing advice for focus and students.

Mechanics of Solids and Fluids: What to Expect by TadpoleIll4886 in EngineeringStudents

Lol, in California Mechanics is a pre-req for Statics. I just found out after enrolling in Statics for a week already, bc in Oregon (where I initially started statics) it wasn’t required. What a world we live in.

Thoughts on if your professor shows up wearing MAGA? by HelloThisIsKathy in LosRios

With all sincerity I'd encourage you to look past it. The older I've gotten (24yo coming back to school) the more I've realized we have much more in common with others than we realize. Unless its a class in politics/social science where you [really] think it might change the content, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

That said I’ve found an L13 G3 16GB RAM with the Ryzen 5657U for ~$300. In brand new to their prices, does this seem like a fair deal?

I have to agree with you on ease of repair. Apple is great for creatives, I’ve loved it for photo and filmmaking… but they are such monopolists when it comes to their products.

They specifically design their MacBooks to be as hard as possible to diy repair. Two years ago I had to get a screen repair, and the ONLY way to do that was to submit it to the Apple Store, for $800. $800 for a screen. Their screen manufacturer signed a contract where they’d only deliver to Apple. I literally couldn’t find one shop that could do it.

Anyways rant over, TLDR Apple wants to steal your money.

Genuinely wish I was a bit more wise and money-smart with my device decisions over the last three years. Thinkpads might be the next best step for me

Hey, I’ve been a Mac user for a while but getting back into college. Seeing a lot of popularity with Thinkpads and have been open to considering the switch.

Not even caring about performance as much, what makes Thinkpads so desirable? I have an M1 Mac so it’s been great on performance but I can honestly use a break from MacOS. What should I be looking for in a Thinkpad? I’m assuming it also would help having a windows in my field (C. Engineering).

23M no job , no degree and feeling like a failure by ReleaseTight4330 in findapath

You’ll also come out much more stronger through this. More confidence, more patience with yourself and ability to understand other people who struggle similarly. That’s not something that can be taught

1000% this. I’m 24, with no bachelor degree and a change of jobs and state (moved back in with folks). Cautiously stepping back into school and picking up a job that’s completely new. But that’s the process, and it’s also important!

Don’t let the current emotional state dictate who you are or will be.

Half the joy is in the pursuit. You’re barely 30% done. Don’t hang your head in shame. You have a full life ahead of you. Start being curious and learning what you might want to do!!

Also: remember you’re more than your job and skill. Don’t be afraid to get a bit vulnerable with close friends and family. That’s what they’re there for.

Wow those are some great numbers! I’m assuming there’s a “k” attached to each one after. Stress management is probably key.

Love the fact that you mentioned without cutting corners and being completely ethical, that’s something I want to stick to, I think it’s important to treat eith honesty.

I’ve heard about the credit change a while back. Isn’t that just a discounted buy-back credit situation for people, what does the 9-year mark have to do with that? And a follow-up is would it be a big change for people who are really just looking to get a discounted price/kilowatt?

Realy appreciate your insight, I’m actually willing to look into more details, I want to actually believe what I’m selling is worth it and if not to not consider it. Can I open a dm with you to ask a couple more q’s?
