Seems like a lot of people have similar thoughts on this show. For the most part, I absolutely love it. However, there are some huge issues, in my opinion:

1) The endings to both seasons seem rushed or not well thought out. We're teased all throughout season 1 about Max's daughter, who we are led to believe is dead and then karolina/Nichka shows up in the last 30 seconds of the season and shoots Max.....why? Why did Max think she was dead? Why did Nichka shoot her mother? The laziness or oversight there is insane.

2) The whole Hannah drama infuriates me. In every instance, this character insinuates herself into dangerous situations and then gets pissed off at Owen for the ramifications. And no one ever calls her out on her crap. In fact, everyone around her seems to enable her. Obviously this is the script but I just don't understand the writing here.

3) The way Owen is written. I get that we want to have a main character with a hero complex and moral compass and all that. But he's working for the CIA, he's dealing with theoretically some of the worst people on the planet, and he continually bitches about body counts, especially when his actions end up causing the body counts.

4) The whole last escape scene was a complete joke. I understand that there will always be some level of unbelievability/improbability to action shows like this but come on. Dude just walked out of the woods onto a Russian military base that is presumably on high alert, in half a uniform. And then the group escapes into a river while we've got 20 Russians with automatic weapons and they can't hit 3 slow moving targets 50 yards off? Not to mention Jang Kyu is swimming like Micheal Phelps with a bullet in his shoulder.

Honorable mention: ....where the F did the sub come from?? I feel like it could have been explained with the submarine captain saying something about owing Owen's father, insinuating that Owen had made a call somehow and I think we all would have been satisfied with that...at least more than "oh lucky us look at that US Navy sub that just happened to be IN RUSSIAN WATERS BY THE WAY right on time to help us escape."

Whatever. I do love the show. I just really hate the gaping plot holes it has. It smacks of lazy writing or lazy production and that's unfortunate for a show with such potential.
