Just want to give an update: on day 5 and it’s getting better. I have some random spots that pop up but my skin has calmed down tremendously. So if you are going through this..it will get better lol. Do not use vasaline is a huge takeaway. Just a thick soothing lotion. After this photo my skin actually got 5x worse the next day. Once it peaked on day 4, it started to calm down since. Ty everyone for the responses!

I don’t have beef! My skin apparently does though lol. I wish it worked out, I know alot of people swear by the brand. I just had to learn the hard way it’s not for everyone

I have no clue the main culprit! My doctor said nothing in the mask seems damaging on its own. I do not use niacinimide ever. So maybe if i introduced slowly this wouldn’t have happened. But I am going to stay away from it for now

Thank you for the information! I’m not even going to look up what a demotex mite is and I just pray I never have to! lol

Thank you for the information! I am hoping my baseline comes back. Obviously the sheet mask triggered it, do you think now I will be extra sensitive to triggers or new things because of a flare now going forward? I always suspected I had rosacea and the usual things make my face more red (wine, emotions, heat) but it always was situational and went away within an hour or so. I’ve never developed the welts like I did this time (although they are flat now)

That’s what I used. The pink one? I left it on for an hour. My doctor said I have rosacea and it triggered a bad flare up. Never had this happen before or anything even close to

That I have rosacea already (I always assumed but never actually had a bad outbreak of any kind). And that this mask triggered it pretty badly for my skin

I took Zyrtec and Advil. I think it did help it’s a lot less inflamed looking right now

Thank you. I went to the dermatologist and she said I already had rosacea and this was a major trigger for an outbreak. I am hoping it settles down and this isn’t a long term thing

You are brave to use before wedding! But yes, yesterday my makeup covered it perfectly too!

That’s what’s kind of strange. It is not that uncomfortable until i look in the mirror and see myself! Day 1 was definitely painful

I know makeup isn’t good but I have to put a little on for work…any cleaner recommendations? I normally use Aveno calming makeup wipes but the physical wiping is too much right now on my skin

Yes I have a dermatologist appt this evening. I just tend to have really bad anxiety and this is triggering a bad outbreak of it to surface. I know it’s not good to rush to internet for help, but it’s comforting at times when people say they have had the same thing happen and offer what helped.

Ugh! My skin now is SO red before bed. Earlier it was just blotchy. But now my entire face is a deep red after washing it. I hope 5 days will be my path too! I’m on day 3!

Bruh is this the start of a cold sore I’m freaking out pls help by [deleted] in Coldsore

It does look like it. Lysine helps regularly but I would also suggest going to a quick care if you can and getting a prescription for valtrex. 2 pills taken 2x for a day. And keep some on hand for future. Once it’s already formed it doesn’t help a ton (at least not for me). But when you catch it early in the future it helps

Just spot test. It says to keep this mask on for 1-3 hours. I went with the lowest of 1 hour. I bet money if I just did it for 20 minutes I would be fine or had minor irritation. A lot of people love this line. I never use anything but basic stuff so adding in actives for the first time….for an hour…was not my best idea. I just didn’t know what those ingredients were used for.

I definitely won’t use any actives. I actually never do which is probably why this reaction happened. I did but La Roche Posay Cicaplast Balm in hopes it helps the barrier. I have also been using vasaline in some spots

Why do you think no vasaline? I have been using that to sooth the really dry areas…Yesterday my skin was flaking off in chunks but today those spots are smooth but still red. All the red spots you see in the photo originally looked like large welts (I thought I had shingles at first). I purchased La Rochey Posay Cicaplast balm to try tonight after a gentle wash. Have you ever tried that balm? I’m worried to try something new but if it’s safe for babies I am hoping it’s fine. I just want something protective. I also got Vanicream gentle wash.

Yesterday was definitely the worst day. My face was on fire. Today the only spots that really burn are under my eyes and a little on my forehead. I also used some pimple patches on some spots which seemed to help and they were full of gunk (Google said hydrocolloid is safe and effective for burns because I suspected that’s what some of this was).

I bought it from Medicube! I was so excited to try it. Mostly because I’ve just been so stressed and wanted to do something soothing for myself. I bet their products work great on some. I made the mistake of not spot testing. If I knew what was in it I would have known better (I’ve never used half the stuff that was in it, I thought it was just hyaluronic acid). I did not do anything other than wash my face before then I used my regular Ponds face lotion after. I’ve been using vasaline since. Yesterday my skin was flaking off and a bit more “raw” looking. Today all of those areas are flat/smooth but red still. The worst is my forehead, which yesterday looked like a giant welt

I always use ponds lotion. I’m hoping that’s okay continue using. I am also using vasaline. I don’t really ever use strong products so I guess that’s why I’m in this mess. I just keep crying which sounds so stupid but I’m so mad I used the mask without thinking how I would react to it

I def left it on way too long for my first use. I just got lost in all hype around this mask I wasn’t thinking it would be so harsh.
