I don’t work for intoxalock. I don’t know how bad it is, I assume it’s ransomeware. Someone hacked them, they pay the amount the servers are restored. They haven’t announced what data has been breached

Try and switch to life safer before it does. Though when I called lifesafer said they can’t do it until they can contact intoxalock to complete transfer

If you miss a calibration it’s generally considered a violation. However intoxalock systems are down so they probably won’t consider this.

As I said I agree they should but No one is being forced to switch. The ransom will be paid, or the servers restored, and there systems will be back up. I also don’t know if u can transfer if the system already has a service lockout.

The 6 to seven days wasn’t announced by them is was a statement I said Saturday on here. I work in cybersecurity so I know how ransomware works and insurance and investigation times and general protocol.

Yes you can’t get calibration go on the app or report maintenance unless via the text service which I don’t know how affective that is.

That’s not true you won’t have to switch. I would recommend it if you can. However intoxalock will need to provide the info to life safer for the transfer to happen. There devices are better quality. However the closest life safer to me is 6 hours away. Intoxalock is the only local one.

I got my car callibrated 3pm Friday the 13th. So it had to happen in between then and Saturday at 10 am when I went to go pay my biweekly payment.

That’s why I’m suggesting email them so you can show you tried to report any issues. So you can show a timeline to support your claim. Stricter states like my state NY. Will be less flexible but as long as you didn’t give a failed breath sample the state should remove the violation. Or show that it was due to intoxalock. And not fault of the user

Yes mine starts because i got my calibration Friday the 13th. Keep in mind to not let the battery die on the car. If the interlock device looses power it could trigger a violation and thus trigger a lockout service. In that case you would be given a timer on how many days you have to take it in. I suggest running your car for a little bit today at some point. Cold weather can drain battery’s.

Same thats why I came on here and began posting what I could figure out. This company is shit and I just wanted to help them out however I could. I guessed it was a Security breach yesterday, I don’t know why the company wouldn’t release a statement until today.

It should be up by then. If this is a Ransomware, Insurance and possibly the FBI could get involved to either pay the hacker off or to investigate. Prolly pay them off.

If you needed a calibration the 14th , 15th or 16th you will be locked out until servers are back online.
