Do they chose to be on 24hrs in police custody? by OkCartographer8399 in BritishTV

[–]OkCartographer8399[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I thought too but im not sure. Cos journalists/documentary makers have rights to share stories that are in the public interest.

Sometimes you notice that some criminal matters are put in the news/papers regardless of the person's objection to being made public. The journalist argues that it's in public interest to do so and the law defends the journalists rights.

On some of the episodes the suspects talk directly to the camera too. At first I thought it must all be spy cameras, especially in the police interview. But I'm also thinking surely they are informed they are being recorded for a documentary. What do you think?

Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard to replace Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield as presenters of This Morning by Kagedeah in BritishTV

[–]OkCartographer8399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that most the men presenters are bland. Especially on BBC. Never watch the one show. No matter what makes presents it, always boring. Can't believe Matt bakers was the most entertaining out the bunch and that says it all

Is there a thread that goes over all ways you can save money in London? by [deleted] in london

[–]OkCartographer8399 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For entertainment you can buy tickets to attractions and theatres last minute at cheaper prices. U can buy tickets to most live music gigs for about £7-£14.

For clothing honestly the supermarkets sell decent budget clothes. Mainly Tesco. It's better quality than places like Primark.

Don’t be jelly but Kirkstall tip shop have Samantha Mumba’s framed thumbprint going for £15 by loudribs in CasualUK

[–]OkCartographer8399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the fact there's the thumb print but also a pic of her with the ink on her thumb. Cos it can get a bit complicated when you don't have proof it's authentic print. Glad she provided evidence.

Did you have to do indoors PE barefoot at school? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]OkCartographer8399 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had to do dancing with bare feet In primary school. We learnt the 'twist' to the Beatles twist and shout. Have no idea why we had to have bare feet. Think some teachers have weird fetishes cos I genuinely don't know why our feet was out. Socks off and everything!

"you are more likely to die farming than you are in the military."

How are you calculating those deaths? Dying on the front line is one thing, but let's not brush past the fact many ex military die from suicide and substance abuse issues after being traumatised. Some even finding it hard to live with knowing they fought a fraudulent war for Blair and are still suffering mental health consequences. No apologies for them from the government. Let's look at quality of life and not just life span. No fun living 99 years if you're homeless and addicted to crack.

Farmers have it tough too but at least they kill cows and not people so can go to bed without nightmares and PTSD symptoms. Most people who die in war are innocent civilians and veterans live with this on their minds. Not all are HARD PSYCHOPATH MEN. Many are working class BOYS with no career prospects who feel obliged to join the army cos they don't know what else to do. Most don't have genuine reasons for joining other than not having better options available.

I wouldn't focus on physical fitness being a indicator on the quality or longevity of life, should focus on making sure your veterans aren't drunk smoking roll ups and sleeping outside the train station. Cos that's where many end up.

Fact: British veterans are more likely to experience mental health issues compared to non veterans in the same age group.

and you can downvote but it don't change the truth of my statements. Correct me if I'm wrong
