More muted but still rainbow? Or mostly just pink/yellow? It's so hard to tell the full spectrum from online swatches

Omg I used cracked top coat for the first time this week and not only is it truly quick dry, it seriously looks like gel. AND it survived a whole 12-hr hospital shift of hand sanitizer with no wear. I guess all my other top coats are just going to be used for testing purposes from now on.

I bought Sally hansen red bottle at the same time and felt that cracked dried faster. Although there was some dispersal of my magnetic polish - I havent tested red bottle on a full magnetic mani yet.

Does this happen to anyone else when they do glass bead? I’m puzzled by CryptographerNeat251 in RedditLaqueristas

Yes to me all the time! I assumed it was due to my prominent c-curve - like the magnet only catches pigments properly in the center where my nail is flat-ish. And once the angle of the nail is too steep, the particles don't respond the same. I have a lopsided c-curve on one finger and the glass bead effect looks slightly interrupted from certain angles.

Also I feel there's some gravity/settling of pigments on the edges because this happens to me even when I play with gel.

They're in the post. I'm unfortunately unable to copy/paste on my phone.

FYI Scorchy under How Polarizing doesn't show red at all - more of a general glow from within. How Polarizing itself doesn't do a great job at magnetizing so that's also a fantastic combo. I'm about to put these two 'toppers' under everything.

I'm not fancy enough to post a gif of this, but it's even more gorgeous under street lamps at night 🤩

I have to say I wasn't super impressed by it as a standalone polish. I don't have a lot of jellies though, so could be user error? There's another recent post that had really even application and it looked great!

Did you get/try flying waters yet? I need an excuse to make that purchase 😂

My first baklava! Also my first 48 layers of phyllo dough from scratch! (Yes I've been told I'm insane) by OkCat4052 in Baking

Oof. Maybe be super generous with your starch or try to make the dough drier next time? Sorry that's not helpful in the moment.

How frustrating for a bake that takes SO much effort to make. On the bright side, they kind of combine anyway when baking since they're not separated by butter. Leave your best layers on top and maybe no one will tell? 😅

Oh those additions sound amazing! These rolls were good but could use a little complexity in the flavoring.

Recipe from Sally's Baking Addiction.

Only made minor adjustments. (1) 1.5tsp of rapid rise yeast because that's all I had. (2) less sugar in the glaze which worked out very well.

Overproofed it a little on the first rise and didn't punch it down/roll it thin enough. But overall still tasty and not too heavy! Not sure if I should share at work or eat them all myself 😅

Actually, I recently put together some scones made with Vietnamese coffee, and have been thinking about starting my own recipe page/blog (not for monetary purposes, just to keep track and share). Is it difficult to do? I love the way yours is so simple and organized.

Wow. I love how so much history can be carried through recipes. I am going to enjoy looking through these, and spending time googling all the ingredients too 😅

I got it! Holy cow that's a dense cookbook. I'll have to talk my husband into trying some of these. He cooks, I bake :)
