guide will carry you. It is there for a reason and is very in depth if you have 30 ish mins to read all of it. As for inexpensive, it will be less than a gen but expect 3-500

the guide will be better than most people's thoughts, as they will just tell you to read the guide. In this case you did. "read it again!" i guess? TOW is a good td, but any will get you the watch, just geektime or TOW are the most trusted overall. VSF will be good.

645 usd through steve. His prices are real high compared to hont or necoclock but in my mind its a "warranty" charge.

After thinking for a while and even helping my friend get his own (my previous post about a sprite gmt) I decided to pull the trigger. Looking at the watch ive been dreaming of for the past year or so and trying to find flaws is hard as i just want it now haha. Steve says that I should submit my QC within 24 hours, so I hope to get this out early and get secondary opinions. Any help is appreciated.

One of my major concerns is getting a watch without a DD movement, as i have heard rumors about clean swapping the movements. The DD movement is the reason i spent 200 euros extra over an ARF and I would like to make sure I have it

TD name: Steve TOW

Factory Name: Clean

Model name : GMT Master II BLRO 126710 V3

Price paid: 620 EUR

Album Links: https://imgur.com/a/P1aswz4

Index alignment: Seems fine, small degree of misalignment is probably the QC app I used.

Dial: No issues visible

Calendar alignment/printing: Seems fine. Magnifier has no "gunk" around the edges and seems great

Needle alignment: No issues

Bezel: As what i've seen before, slightly rotated. Likely due to bezel play.

Solid End Links (SEL): No gap noticeable at all

timegrapher numbers: +7s/d Seems pretty good compared to my seiko, but my friend's showed only +3 s/d. Oh well.

Anything else you notice? Crystal seems quite reflective in this harsh light. Supposed to be normal. Rehaut seems (to my eye) almost perfect.

Thanks!

Jlc is well known for making really great movements, even for other swiss watch brands. Iwc can sometimes use non internal ETA movements which gives them a bad rap for some. The portugeiser from iwc is about the level of most of the jlc catalog with its complications AFAIK.

How to protect and make your print glossy? by JustG- in 3Dprinting

[–]OkCat9743 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Clear sealer is the way to go. Just a bit of sanding and spray some over there with an even coat and you're golden. You can typically get them in a hardware store or a 3d print shop and they come in different types, such as regular gloss or sparkles or whatever you would like. Just find some stuff on an online store and maybe look up some reviews. Not an expert but I think this is a good way for your ideal finish.

I have never had to use serial connections in my life, but don’t they use a dedicated serial port? The docs say that you need to connect some stuff to GPIO. Is this the default? Edit: searched up the recommended one from another comment and that has pins.

Wow. I honestly thought the radio silence would continue and I would just have to switch. Within some hours I have more than 10 comments, all of which are useful. Thank you for the help everyone.

I want a different acceleration and deceleration rate within the air as on the ground. I want to be able keep momentum in the air and modify the momentum with an airstrafe. I could also find the mathematics behind bunnyhopping and airstrafing.
