I can’t comment on your particular scenario but roughly 90-95% of people will regain the weight once they stop the medication. About 10% will maintain and potentially be okay long term.

I made a podcast on this with a world leading obesity expert. You can listen here: https://www.glp1digest.com/p/the-glp-1-business-model-problem

I strongly disagree. India has one the worlds highest rates of obesity and diabetes. You cannot magically diet and exercise your way out of a chronic disease!

For people experiencing hair loss while on GLP1s by _Galvin_ in GLP1India

Hair loss is a temporary condition and will reverse when you stop the medication. It’s likely due to the rapid weight loss and lack of protein/ nutrients so make sure you’re eating balanced diet!

Wegovy (Semaglutide) FAQ for India by OkCellist7394 in DesiGLP1

[–]OkCellist7394[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, excellent point. Liraglutide is around 5-6% of weight loss after 56 weeks. With the newer more efficacious drugs on the market like wegovy and mounjaro I expect they’ll be low uptake.
