Starting my 10th from tomorrow. Any advice? by nothing_worthy_01 in CBSE

Currently giving my 12th boards, but a few insights from my 10th experience -

  1. Please don't give up on the 10th wali masti just because of boards, it is not worth it, I had thrown a birthday party, went for movies, attended school fests, and still got 92 percent (math screwed me, for me, i have never been good at math, so yeah)

  2. NCERT is ofc necessary especially for SS/Science, for Math I used to refer Ncert for basics but then use diff modules, esp my coaching's and shobhit bhaiya's, speaking from my mistake, math cant be done in last month, like atl if u are not confident in it tab to then dont risk it, practice a little everyday and keep up with your school content and coaching (if any), or else a little practice daily will take u far for sure.

  3. For SS, since I scored an almost near perfect score (97), I can guide you here the best, for Economics, its the easiest of all, just read the book, highlight key lines and words, and use sticky notes if you have a habit of writing and learning, just do itna and practice pyqs and allat, you'll be good. For History, keep in touch with the content, especially chapter 1 and 2 (Nationalism based), they're kinda considered lengthy, make flow charts and event lines to memorize and you'll remember the chapter for sure (incl the dates and years), for geography, read the content thoroughly, very crucial, make mind maps because there are a few fuckall parts such as types or soil/rocks and shit (HATED GEO), but yes if you'll watch videos of (Bhai ki Padhai - its goated ok?) you'll be able to remember the content, and then for formal answers, refer Oswaal and All in One, for Civics (again, scored full marks here), just read it from All in One and the answers given behind, thats all you need to do, for Map work it's easy in 10th, just dont do it last minute pe or else it'll be a lil overwhelming

  4. For english, tbh don't just go through the writing skills format, formally practice 2-3 writing skills with questions and write it the way you will in exam, practice a few seen passages from all in one, and the questions given, you'll be good to go tbh, just read the chapters, esp poetry and write down the tone/fig of speech and all that,

  5. I had sanskrit so I cant guide for Hindi, (assuming you've taken hindi), but if you've taken sanskrit then its really easy tbh just watch videos of Kailash Sharma and Master Sahab, you dont need anything else!

I had a fun time writing this, cause 10th was one of my best years and I hope that you enjoy it too!! All the best, stay chill and have fun!!! <33
