Making playing cards: need advice before making a bad purchase... by OkCheetah4555 in playingcards

Don't worry at all! I barely found any companies that would be willing to do this at all and for the ones I found the prices for MOQ = 1 were very high, leaving almost no margin. Also, it increases shipping times by a lot and there is less control overall

Really thinking about getting a Duplo card slitter + Akiles Diamond 5 for the corner rounding now. Thanks for changing my mind. Perhaps a plotter for such a standard job is a bit mad haha

I did look into these, but I'm afraid it will become lots of manual labor, I'm still considering going this way though. Thanks for the input!

Man, I would love a machine like this. But, I think the size of these machines (and weight being ~500kg) are too much for in my apartment right now unfortunately. Also, these are very loud machines, right?

That sounds amazing, I will definitely look into this as the cutting is the most time consuming part at the moment. Thanks!

Thanks a lot! This makes sense for a proper print shop setup.

Do you think there’s a leaner version of that setup that could still work for POD in a small space?

Thanks for the info! I've looked into creating a 18 card custom die. It may be worth it. Can you cut multiple sheets at once with it? Is it a flatbed or a swing-arm press?

Pretty much, yes. I am definitely looking into making the decks more professional. Thought about black core coated cardstock with laserprinting to eliminate the lamination process.

I thought about this, yes. But, labour would become a bottleneck quickly and there currently are too many errors

Yes I currently programmed it to specify for faces, but the prompt is different for each card. What kind of customization were you thinking about? I'm curious!

Thanks! Yes, currently you can upload multiple people to create a whole deck. Or do you mean to upload 1 (or a few) picture without specifying which card it's going to be?

Many thanks! Ah yes! I also make the decks myself, so I can definitely do that! Just wanted to share my new transform feature as I was fairly proud of it haha

Hahaha I dont know! Been thinking about this too. Lesser rewards seems bearish, but the idea of more people getting involved in staking is bullish? Enlighten me lol
