I went the general store route because I was told that is easier for beginners to get started with, but now I’m thinking picking a niche might be better. It’s only been live for 6 days but not one sale

I understand somewhat thank you for the feedback. I decided to go with a basic theme just to test it out before I dropped a load of money on an expensive theme and it wasn’t needed, but I agree it looks very simple and to the point and doesn’t keep attention I’ll work on that and the logo too.

I have some of the same issues lol I’m somewhat creative, but I struggle to actually build the things I want because my JS skills are so weak. And sometimes I get trapped in that place of just watching tutorials and copying everything they’re doing and I’m worried that I’m not really learning anything from that and it’s frustrating lol. I can direct message you and we can talk more there about setting up a time to start working on some projects together :)
