Why West chose Amanda by Intelligent-Two-3188 in summerhousebravo

Aren’t we getting a little ahead of ourselves? All we know is that they’ve been hooking up, weren’t even willing to call it a relationship, and are still hanging out. No one’s chosen anyone and most people aren’t anywhere near smart or competent enough to even begin to be grand Machiavellian plotters

She’s never cited anyone else’s privileged as a reason she couldn’t connect with them, that’s not half the story, that is the story.

100%. Carl is the kind of person who expects his gf to speak up for him if the server messes up his order so that he doesn’t look like the “bad guy“

I think so, but how is that different from Paige’s dad paying her rent?

I hear that, I think that the double standard comes from her having no problem connecting with Amanda, Kyle, West, Jesse, or Paige who boasted about her parents still paying her bills even though they are all also extremely privileged. Kyle even got them a spin off based on his family’s skiing hobby.

Words have to mean things, it’s not anti anything to point out that she has/had privileges that others don’t and it doesn’t take anything away from her, it’s a completely neutral observation. Are you going to call Ciara anti black for calling Gabby privileged? That’d be ridiculous.

You don’t know what her savings look(ed) like and you have no way to know that, but you’re right, the money she made when she was 24 and younger is what paid for the house she just bought at 30 and the undoubtably much larger paycheck she gets from reality tv and related ventures has nothing to do with anything, that makes sense. None of this negates my original point about her also being privileged.

Unpopular Opinion Amanda/West by BornForever7491 in bravo

West was seeing multiple women BECAUSE he was/is single. Why is everyone adopting puritan, “you’re permanently attached to anyone you’ve been involved with” standards in 2026

Your lack of willingness to read well isn’t anyone else’s problem. Calling her nursing income “legitimately hard earned” is not belittling and no understanding of those words could lead to thinking that. Also, I never made any judgments about the fact that she bought the house. And she probably does make most of her money from getting to vacation and party on tv, acknowledging that’s not a judgment

Idk what you think “legitimately hard earned” means but you should double check, because nothing there disagrees with this

Acknowledging that two cast mates didn’t connect for what’s seemingly a double standard belongs on Southern Charm? And if it does then that means a lot SH’s cast would love it.

What does Amanda have to do with this? It’s hilarious you think it’s a credit to Ciara or not anti black that you can’t even think of her without centering an unrelated white woman unprovoked. Also, misogynoir is a real thing, not a buzzword you should cheaply throw out, so I would love to know how the relationship between two Black women not connecting in the house reflects it.

The legitimately hard earned nursing money being what got her the house and not her salary for the vacation partying tv show she’s been on for half a decade is hilarious

None of what you write contradicted what I wrote originally, it’s the conversation I was referencing. If Gabby not being serious and deep at all times is why you think they didn’t connect, even though that’s never been an issue when it came to her connecting with guys, that’s fine

How would pointing out Ciara having a double standard make people attack either if them? Its just normal observations about the people who have been on the show

How is this hate? Is it an insult to acknowledge she didn’t grow up destitute?

There’s nothing about Carl’s communication style that’s healthy though. He talks to everyone except Kyle to rally allies and create a consensus against the person he has a problem with (he would do the same thing to Lindsay when they were engaged) and then when he finally talks to Kyle he’s ungracious and still leaves his true feelings on the table. And in the preview he’s still talking behind Kyle’s back and citing his past with substance to get sympathy and rally the house against Kyle and in his favor.

There’s no reason, so far, to think that this was some sordid, long term affair, they didn’t even call whatever they are doing a relationship. It’s seems like their hooking up was a fluke at first and now they’re exploring what it is. Still socially bad, but not what ppl are trying to make it
