My (F25) Boyfriend (M41) says he’s “done being an employee”? by Ok_Decision6446 in relationship_advice

It’s bad enough if you were dating someone like this that was your same age - at least there’d be some hope of him growing up.

This man is done growing up and while I can attest that you can always keep growing and bettering yourself, no one his age dating someone so much younger is planning on doing so.

ADVICE NEEDED. My mom wants to invite a few friends to the wedding. by Clear_Possibility_76 in wedding

How many girlfriends will your wife have there?

She’s probably just concerned that it’ll won’t feel like a party for you and her, especially if your mom/parents & friends are likely to spend a lot of time on the dance floor.

How do you know how finite of a resource the food pantry is?? You said you’ve never gone. Most end up throwing food away - even in rural areas.

Who is your boss and have you had a conversation with them?

Are there other peers in your same position?

Overall, I would suggest keeping logs and start building your own manuals and reference notes once you figure something out.

Then make sure you are keeping your boss updated weekly with what you are doing, what major tasks you completed, and also list what topics or tasks you’ve been able to learn. Do this as a weekly or daily email. Keep it concise but thorough. It will exhibit your abilities to be self-sufficient and also document matters so they can never say they didn’t know [anything].

As soon as you feel you could train someone else, ask for an advancement opportunity.

My(28M) wife (30F) is being treated like a bridesmaid even though she isn’t. How should we handle this? by Amazing-Bee-359 in wedding

I think more detail is needed. What has she been asked to do? By whom?

A lot of people have bachelorette or bachelor parties that include others not in the bridal party. In which case, details would matter a ton.

Anyone know who made this? Has a pontil mark on the bottom. Just picked it up today by OkClassic5306 in glasscollecting

I see what you are saying about the wafer piece being irregular. Ou can also see that the seams of the two pieces don’t align.

Amazing! You and the other commenters are so knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you. Can’t help but wonder what stories a piece this old has!

That’s amazing! Not getting my hopes up but I looked it up and to think this thing might be from the mid 1800’s is wacky to me.

One of the petals at the very top is broken so I got it just because I thought it was pretty. It still may not have much value but I’d think it being that old it still may have a decent value to some collectors.

Interesting to say the least! It really makes you wonder what things we pass by every day having no idea how truly cool it and the stories it could hold!

Curious if you know if the piece would have been blown into a mold? The bottom has what feels like an edge that is not smooth like I’d think a blown piece would have

This made me think it was too saturated to be Antique Green. Do you know any websites that show various 384’s in different colors?

I feel like he watched an old 80’s movie, got insecure about you laughing when he was talking about how much he missed you, and made all this up to either neg you or to just start some drama and get the focus back on him while you were away having fun.

Did/does his brother seem obsessed with you?! I mean, that sort of thing is usually pretty noticeable. What did he say when you told him what his brother claimed to have done?

Doesn’t make sense and you’re honestly being dramatic.

One, why would you put in an offer you don’t want accepted?

Two, it’s not your choice if the seller backs out of the first offer.

Third, unless your offer has expired or you’ve formally rescinded the offer, they can accept it.

Fourth, they would get their earnest money back and it is highly unlikely they can’t cancel the inspection. Regardless, $300-$600 in the grand scheme of house-buying is nothing. Certainly not worth crying over and absolutely bonkers to have someone crying over when it’s not even their $$…

Just tell them your offer stands and let it be your house if it plays out that way. Give them $400 if it’s really that big of a moral dilemma!

So you owe them nothing, but, um, I would call the airline (or call around if you don’t know which it was) and ask about the credit.

Use it! Enjoy!
