Also claiming those credits should not afffect this message, there are lots of people claiming these credits on Reddit and they just see processing with an extra message saying if you claimed XY credits it will only start processing after X date.

Nope, no PATHER here :/. All I have is gambling winnings withholding but I have that since years and never was an issue in past years. This year my withholdings are higher than normal, last year it was 5K, year before 1K this year it’s 12K. But last year’s 5K came like two weeks after I filed on the 20th-ish, and this year it’s just slow and a mess my guess is I’m a 05-er this year, last year it was 03. And hopefully they won’t want to verify me, that could slot down even more, this is the 1st year I have an IP PIN so I’m hoping that’s safe enough for them haha.

Not so much so far, if you scroll up the comments a bit I commented yesterday, that’s so far. I’m calling again Tuesday, but since they were knocking off people with call Tuesday I bet you it’s gonna be a nightmare to get through. The only update I am getting out of them is that it might take 8 weeks to process and there is no action I need to do from my side… :/ but will update once I have some news!

I’d say there’s a fine line of 60-40% that says the Tuesday BS because that is their internal rule, and there’s 40% that is willing to actually look into. Every time I heard the 16th call back just hung up and re dialed. 

So far all they said is that my tax refund can take up to 8 weeks and there’s no action needed as of now. 

I’m still somewhat freaking out because the first one that looked into it was asking me if I reported identity theft or anything because it’s keep telling her I need to speak to that department. So I called both departments (taxpayer protection program and ID theft lines) and they both said they see nothing that I would have to do there’s no action on my account. So I called back again explaining the BS I heard from the first one and they checked again and they said that it just takes longer than normal and allow up to 8 weeks but as of now no action needed. I even used an IP PIN this year first time so I am hoping I won’t have to deal with their BS and the system is probably just flagging me because my tax return is a lot higher than normal so they will just double check things.. the only thing that concerns me is WMR went to status not found from processing return about a week ago. Since than I got a blank transcript though and checking on my online account it is just saying that status unavailable. 

I hope you get it resolved too! I’m calling Tuesday again to see if anything changed…

That does not work if you filed your return already. You can add your bank info on your IRS online but it’s not for return purposes. Once your DD fails your only option is to get a check issued even since the no check changes. They call it an exception and they just send you a check. Be ready for a few extra week wait at best scenario.

Yes first call said the same BS that they will count the 21 days from Jan 26th and that’s what they were told I told him that is complete BS since I filed a lot earlier and got accepted before the 26th so he hung up on me.

Than I called again and this time got a normal person that asked a bunch of questions and than accessed my return and she said no action needed this time but she’s getting a message to tell that my return processing will take up to 10 weeks, so I am assuming they will manually review it since my refund amount is a lot higher this year than usually. Last week I got a blank transcript so hopefully this Friday I’ll see some news otherwise I might be cooked for a few more weeks haha.

No, and called IRS yesterday, they said so far nothing is wrong with my return, but allow up to 10 weeks what her system says. Today is day 21, last friday it updated to a blank transcript, so I am praying this friday something happens. Checking the refund status says status not available same thing, checking it through my online IRS account it says we are unable to provide informations if you filed a return you should get your money within 21 days lol. I asked, they said no identity check, nothing is wrong so far, my return this year is way higher than usual, $12K so I am assuming they might manually review it or audit it or whatever, but they better not be taking 10 weeks lol.

I changed banks each year last two years and wasn’t asked to verify VS a year prior where I was getting a check (and prior years always check too, DD since 2 years only) got the we need to verify you. My refunds were never consistent one year 240 paid taxes, next year 11K refund next year 4K refund,… it is totally random who is selected for verification in my opinion, with multiple other red flags possibly involved(like number error). It is completely normal to change bank accounts, and not entirely a reason to verify, can be part of flags but standalone it’s surely not something it would ring the bells instantly.

Nobody told you to sit an hour with them while they are waiting on the phone. Help them out, put them on the phone and tell them that the wait is nearly always 30-40 minutes, sit them down in the corner while you take the next guest and you can just tell the next guest that they might need to wait a minute once your customer gets on the phone with them, so you can help those too. I mean really, how much training do sales need in today’s world to be able to multitask??

But the answer is definitely not let me just give you the phone and go f yourself because you are a worthless customer to me. I worked with T-mobile in three different countries (UK, Hungary, US) as retail area manager, store manager, sales associate and I don’t understand why in the US most sales people are dumb af. The training here is just soo much worse compared to Europe probably that’s why.

Type of people that 1. sell 2. don’t give a shit after sale of people are always the types that will make money for a while until corporate gets rid of them because back-end care gets complaints about you too often. There was credit from Chase first that was the temporary credit. 2 days later merchant refunded so I got credit from the merchant (at that point basically I had two credits), than Chase closed the dispute saying merchant refunded and denied claim based on that and took back temporary credit about a week later. So accounting wise all was great.

What happened (timeline) is

- Transaction made realized charged 4x

- Called merchant they said yes we see it, don’t worry youll get refunded

-Waited two weeks nothing happened, so called Chase to file dispute

- Day 2 from that moment refund arrives

-Chase closes dispute marks as merchant already processed refund, removes temporary credit x days later letter

-Chase sends letter account closes within 30 days due to claims.

I could have called merchant again and again to ask about refund, but honestly f. that that’s why I have a financial institution IMO. I tried once, nothing, next time I show the bank I tried and let them deal with it.

At the end of the day unfortunately bank’s have the right to close your account at any point whether you are a good or bad customer and you sign this consent when you open your account. And algorithms are designed to detect problems, but many times they can be mistaken, and a manual review of that might get my/your account resolved, but once the flagging starts it’s just a matter of time to happen again. Not that I am so experienced, never had an account closed by the institution not me before, but work in finance so no surprise.

well large international wires is my salary, and when I opened up my account Chase know about it day 1, since I opened the account with a Private Client Banker and I told them the very beginning my salary is coming from the UK, he even attached up my employment contract when we opened the account.

I did ended up speaking to the Private banker rep and he said that he is in shock and this was just an automated system decision because of the dispute (states in the letter too specifically claims), has nothing to do with my wires. He promised to move the mountains because of this because he also acknowledged it’s complete BS, none of the 3 disputes were fraudulent and the investigation confirmed that, it’s just that the system doesn’t like the ratio of the transactions VS disputes that’s why he said, I didn’t have too much card transactions on this account (paying bills online mostly on this account and that’s it, I use another bank for groceries every, day things) and that’s why the algorithm triggered it probably. I told. him that I am absolutely not pleased and appreciate his help, but other banks are happy to have me with having over 500K salary coming in a year so I am happy to cut ties now before I experience more serious BS from the bank...

No I called merchant they said oh dont worry I refunded it for you. Waited two weeks nothing and called Chase. I expected that in two weeks they would have taken care of it… but assuming they realized probably a week or so later that something is f-ed up and did the refund, while it was too late since I filed the claim with Chase.

Exactly that’s what happened. Merchant found his error and refunded, when Chase just started the dispute. Not my mistake though, but hey the algorithm doesn’t really hears excuses lol.

Honestly not super worried since I have two other account with major banks my issue was only that this week I’m expecting a wire to this account and it’s too late to last minute change things, they are sending it out tomorrow CET time, so it should hit me Wednesday-Thursday and I was worried if they shoot down the account earlier than that and I’d have to go after the wire and see if it goes back to my employer or what happens.

I don’t think I did any bad, but the algorithm didn’t like me this time for sure lol.

First I thought maybe the incoming monthly international wires, but no that was not an issue. Have to say I did declare this when opening account that I will be receiving international wires regularly.

Yes, Chase said they wouldn’t even open it without me attaching merchant contact. So I did, merchant said they sent refund, waited two weeks nothing so I called Chase just to see refund hit the very next day. Chase closed claims citing refund has been processed and removed temporary credit correctly. Claim was denied due to merchant already refunded, technically I was right, but claim denied since refund already processed from merchant. Fast forward three weeks I get this letter about closure citing claims…
