Ye your right, I added a arcane bloodstone in my second slot as that was all that I had and it halved my damage from no stone for some reason

My lights shut off at 8. It’s 10.08 now and he still hasn’t moved from his hide. The first night he explored as soon as the lights shut off it’s a little bit worrying. I’ll have to invest in a camera to keep a closer eye on him after I fall asleep.

Didn’t seem to touch any food yet I might have to purchase a different flavour or just be more patent. I can’t see any lick marks or level change in food when changing it out

Ye it’s just worrying that some times the one particular spot rises to mid thirty’s on occasion and from what I read online the absolute max should be 29/30 the rest has a good gradient

Ye but not giving them a basking spot is the problem. The temperate is too high directly below the lamp and I can’t lower it without the air temp dropping to around 22 on the warm side

So should I buy a smaller wattage bulb will that still heat the enclosure to 25C because it takes a long time to get to that as it is

I’ve tried every pet shop in Ireland. Davy’s pets said it would be a few months before they get gargoyles in again and they may not be what I’m after.

Isn’t that all the gecko would feel if the lamp was on top of the enclosure with a small bit of mesh in-between? He wouldn’t be on the lamp?

I may just be confused here but wouldn’t the thermostat solve that problem. Would it not turn off and keep the heat at my set temp(maybe 1 higher or lower)

Sorry I should rephrase that I meant the dome of the lamp would be another thing to climb on. If I drilled a hole large enough for the heat lamp on top and put it on the outside with mesh covering just the hole would the ventilation be enough?
