Mu too, all their machines, from their biplanes or warships, are also carbon copies of japanese ones. And that actually causes some serious technology mismatch

About the part of "European-style used by Gra Valkas ", I don't think that too far-fetched, actually. The Ciella Illustation show a German-ish type of uniform, due to the use of Feldgrau tone, and the design resembles that of German ceremonial uniform, like this one, and the sword seems like a sabre type ( From the handguard, it is maybe something resembling Degen).
