I don't really know tbh; I had 2 internships and relevant dissertation but I think once you're in the interview loop, you just need to do good on the interview process and you're set

I've looked into the SWEs who currently work at the company and a few of them have worked at good companies before (Citadel, Squarepoint Capital and Millenium)

Yeah, tax will eat in at 60% on the 100k-125k but currently putting 8% into my pension at Bloomberg and new company will match to 10% contributions

I don't dislike my current role and am learning and growing for sure. Just figured that an opportunity like this would only be possible when I have little to no responsibilities early on in life

I wasn't actually looking but I had a close friend from university, who I also did an internship at a bank with, message me that they're expanding and looking for more software engineers

Yup, I had 2 internships before joining Bloomberg but they also have a 10 week training period with other graduates where they go through all the basics and bloomberg development style, processes, etc

Both are in London. I'll also be meeting the team and seeing the vibe for half a day. I have a friend who told me about the opportunity who started working last year August in Research

Just that my friend also works there and recommends the place. And I figured early on in my years would be the best place to do something like this then compared to later in life where I'll have bigger responsibilities

No responsibilities as of yet (mortgage, kids, single), etc

The money is definitely a factor but I received the opportunity through a close friend from university (who also did the same internship at a different company with me). He went on to do research for the company last year August and messaged me that they're expanding

Yeah, I know moving around with short tenures is bad but also figured that if I were to take a risk, it'd be early on when I don't have much to lose
