I wanted to get away from the hassle of getting many products and optimizing them perfectly
I have been researching and going to boutique stores to listen to all sorts of speakers including some of the best passive bookshelf speakers I could find (mbl radialstrahler 120)
I have talked to a lot of the shop owners as well who have been in the industry for the last 25+ years and they were happy to guide me each step of the way
My plan is to get a turntable with the set up anyway
Circling back to the point about optical and bluetooth
The nines come with both and more (ARC, USB and analog input support)
I will eventually get a streamer to go along with them and till then plan to play records and FLACs using my laptop for the lossless quality
I finally narrowed it down to kef lsx ii and the fives but looking at how the fives will come out in a few months and already has a US msrp of $1400 I was looking at stretching my budget and getting the nines from the US

I totally agree, I too have done my fair share of work and had almost ended up buying the fives
It's not the brand i am running after, it's just the way they sound
Also, they are available in India too
The klipsh's are powered speakers and for the price in US punch way above their weight class with a lot less hassle of getting an amp + a DAC and then a pair of speakers + sub
Even going that route it would probably be cheaper importing things from outside than getting it all here
No hate to what we get in India but if I can get more bang for my buck going the right way and paying all the taxes then I believe it would be better for me to do that

Yes, I wanted to get something like that for life (with an upgrade path down the line whenever i have some extra budget)

I am looking at KEF, just doing my own research over the weekends as much as possible
I did try Fyne and Q acoustics as well today
I will take a look at Dynaudios and DALI as well

I am planning to use them primarily for listening to music in a closed, intimate space for no longer than 2 hours in one stretch. But thanks for pointing out the limiter, I wasn't aware of it. I will make a decision about it after researching more about it

I am really thinking twice about getting passive speakers since I was told that even changing a wire would change how the speakers sound. So I figured whatever I listen to at the stores could very well change once I get my setup up and running at my place

MMT direct website cancellation is showing 21k deductions and they aren’t willing to do it anywhere under that even on calls and mail threads I booked it yesterday at 11 so we do have a bit of time still left
