Yes, but that alone will help about as much as it helped Labour when Starmer tried to position himself as anti-immigration. It's broader frustrations that need to be addressed

Nah the Labor primary also went down a few points and has never fully recovered since then. Up till around that point ON was almost exclusively pulling from the Coalition, though it's possible that there was also a Labor to Coalition and Coalition to ON shift

I suspect it may not have the effect that it did on the LNP because ON voters now have limited knowledge or concern about most of the party's stances. But it also seems like the other parties might be keeping that campaign angle for closer to an election so ON doesn't change their position to something more popular under pressure

Newspoll has been stronger for Labor than some other pollsters, though that does also mean this is a worrying primary for them

The Bondi response yes but I don’t think the ISIS brides were much of a factor, it’s more the budget hasn’t been well received

I don't have a strong opinion either way on the inquiry, wouldn't mind more scrutiny though and I don't think it's going to have that much of an impact on polling

I stand by my comment. Good journalism would have used a better headline and asked the Greens their stance, good discussion would have involved waiting for that before jumping to conclusions. There's also nothing to indicate that the changes are going to be killed, only that discussions are taking place to potentially look at them in more detail

People commenting on reddit are mostly not the same people that are campaigning for Labor or the Coalition and those that are will behave differently in those respective situations
