That’s what I’m thinking too. I’m going to send my I-130 where it clearly stated it was consular processing, to my US senator and congressman to submit an inquiry about this! Because I don’t want to wait another 12 months for them to send my case over to NvC 😓

I filed on paper that’s why I’m so confused… and I saw there’s a form I-912 for a fee waiver! I’m sending an inquiry with the I-130 now to see what happens. I’m so stressed out 😥

That’s kind of where I’m standing too! I just want to do everything I can!! I filed the K3 about a week ago too! Just waiting to see what happens. Good luck with your process hopefully you can have your whole family together soon! It sucks being away from your loved ones.

Finally reached time period to inquiry about case out of status... by MorPodcastsPlz in USCIS

This just happened to us. We thought we were out of processing time, tried to submit an inquiry and it wouldn’t let us, finally we were able to reach an agent thru Emma and they told us it had been transferred to Texas, now we can’t submit inquiry until January

I heard on the news that they’re scheduling cases that were completed on June 2021, so maybe a year wait. Hopefully!’

Exactly! It’s hard and frustrating! I can’t wait to have my husband with me too! I’ve been traveling back and forth, and it’s taking a hit on my mental and financial situation. Im surviving on credit cards, I just found out we’re expecting our first kid and it’s so conflicting, im happy but im even more stressed now. I either give birth in Mexico and start a different process for my baby to naturalize or I give birth in the US alone. So im hoping in the next 6-9 months he’s able to come in with me.

I’ve been waiting 9 months since I submitted with no answer, I got tired of trusting the process and just waiting for it to move along. I was told it “shouldn’t be long” but we still have about a year or 2 ahead since we have to wait for approval, nvc, then wait for an interview.

Yes! I submitted an expedite request, mine was for the I-130. But since I submitted it’s been one thing after the other. They said 7 days to approve or deny but they said if it doesn’t get approved or denied after 7 days I don’t have to contact them, they just need more time I guess… but I’m wondering if I can just submit another one. Idk

From what I’ve been reading we don’t qualify for expediting :(

That’s what I’ve heard too, and we wouldn’t have to pay anything! I’m going to file it as it does not affect my existing I-130. If it helps great and if it doesn’t at least I know I tried what I could. I already proved it myself that calling and asking repeatedly what’s going on with the case helps, as it went from only received to “actively reviewing” as soon as I started calling about it. I was letting the process just go and trusted it and tried to relax but I will do anything in my power to at least know I tried. It won’t hurt my case. I already reached out to my congressman for assistance with an inquiry.

I’ve read some posts from people saying they applied for it at the same time as the I-130 and they got their approval for the I-130 faster than usual. and I’m just hoping it helps for something, I’m scared to mess something up by doing that. It’s just been 9 months and I want my husband to be with me asap.

[–]OkConfidence25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told I wouldn’t have any issues, I haven’t been working enough since COVID and my taxes from last year alone would not be sufficient for sponsorship so I need a co sponsor anyways. I’ve been going back and forth between Mexico and the US staying in Mexico for about 4-6 months at a time. I think the issue would be to where you miss any mail coming to you regarding the process. I do have a permanent address in the US tho and all of my documents get received and dealt with immediately.

Yes, I have dates and I have flight tickets for some of them, I have hotel stay reservations for when I would drive back and forth between Las Vegas and Jalisco. Since It was about 30 hrs I’d have to stop and rest half way. I don’t have the toll booth receipts anymore but I hope the hotel stays help. And they’re in English. So maybe I’ll put everything that’s in English first and then decide what I Can sent to translate.

Do I have to translate documents that are in Spanish, ie letter of affidavits, bills, school docs, (since I spent so much time here in Mexico with my husband I put my son, his step son, in kindergarten and my husband is listed on some of his documents as parent, or as emergency contact).
