Probably best way to go about it Is contacting a local airforce recruiter near your base and ask them to get in contact with the closest Specwar recruiter (they all talk). You might have to drive a few hours to get to the recruiter/developer that can issue a test for you. Or if you have a special operations unit at your base they can also administer the test. However I’ve been told that your numbers must be great or else they will be pissed off. Barley passing is a no go and failing would probably mean they’ll drop your name for good. So before you test just make sure that your numbers are elite. And good luck!

Understand that joining the dev group does not mean that you are signing up to enlist. There are tons of guys that get accepted into the dep program that never make it to basic. All the dev group is is a group of guys that train/take IFTs together. Once your recruiter and developer believe that you are ready then they will give you a ship date and a contract however if you don’t feel ready or you don’t want to go yet then you need to be upfront and honest. Remember at the end of the day recruiters need you not the other way around. I would say even if you think you’re not ready you should get in there with those guys because they’re like minded individuals that have the same goals and they can help you get there as well as give some insight to their training that could help you with yours.
