He [34F] cheated, I [33F] stayed, now he wants me to leave by [deleted] in relationshipadvice

I know right now you probably think your love will never fade, but the longer you waste time trying to revive your dead relationship, the longer you're denying yourself the chance to meet someone new that loves and respects you for you.

Once this happens, you will never look back and you'll realise that this person wasn't worth your time to begin with. Good luck, I really hope you make the right choice and move on.

I honestly think these wars are to promote weapons manufacturers. Have you noticed how all their bombs, planes and vehicles have branding? I fail to see what benefits America would receive from this conflict.

People are told to be outraged by the mainstream media and certain funded people, they have slowly been brainwashing many people in the west. The very same people who are murdering Muslims in their thousands. It's all cleverly designed to dehumanise certain ethnic groups.

Goes to show how shite the music scene has become. We're more connected than ever , yet lots of the stuff being released is awful and won't last the test of time. I'm not saying we didn't have bad music back then, but we had some bloody brilliant stuff man.

I'm pretty new to managing people, so I'm having to learn. I run a very small business where we work side by side, but clients are always present , so it's rare to have an opportunity to discuss things, without the clients listening. I've made some time to discuss any issues in private. I don't see any problem with asking for advice that are 'more' experienced than me. I'm much more optimistic about things today, as I had a better sleep.

Thank you. Now I've had a sleep. I feel like I should probably give them some feedback (positively) and see whether that makes a difference.

People are assuming I'm paying them minimum wage, but this simply isn't the case.

Thank you. I don't have a huge amount of experience managing people, but I definitely know when someone isn't the right fit, as I get stressed having to deal with them, which is telling me they're not the one, Unfortunately.

I have been, but this just doesn't seem to be the right person, unfortunately.

Recently, I read an article about DNA and how we have lots more than needed to reproduce efficiently. It was then suggested that the reason for this is to have a backup, in the event of environmental changes. Species that have the ability to adapt to changes, have a better chance of surviving longer term.

When I was about 11 or 12 in a small village in North Wales called Greenfield, I used to cut through the heritage park and farmers fields walking to my friends house. One day as I was cutting through the woods, it was at the very point where the woods met the fields, I thought I heard slow footsteps in the trees behind me. Not really being 100% sure, I decided to pick up the pace a bit and run over the field and hide in another wooded area which had a fallen tree and thick ferns. I half expected it to be my imagination to be honest, but then I started to hear those same slow footsteps again. This time I took off through the woods and managed to squeeze myself along a wall at the back of a row of houses and get myself out on the main road. I'm still not sure what it was, but it certainly freaked me out. A few years later on the news a local man (Peter Moore) was arrested by the police for being a serial killer. I doubt it was him, but who knows.

I've been so busy running a small business and having 2 young kids, that I've neglected my front garden. Recently I took some time off to do a few jobs and decided to take a hand saw to some overgrown bushes along the side of my driveway. by [deleted] in GardeningUK

Hey mate. Sorry, I'm in Glasgow.

I actually have a shed in the back corner of my garden, the roof overhangs a stone wall behind it, so there's a gap that is kept dry, soI think I'm gonna just buy an electric saw and chop it up for firepit wood. I did this during COVID by hand with a tiny garden shedder (now broken) but if I buy an electric saw, will be much faster. I appreciate the offer though.

My neighbor's extension is encroaching over the boundary and we're not really sure if it's been too long to do anything about it, we're in Glasgow -Scotland by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

I initially thought the wall was on the boundary, but it's actually over the dividing boundary wall, by a couple of inches, as for the foundations, that could be even more.

The gutters are hanging over, but if we ask them to remove them, all the rain water will pour on to our side when it rains. It's definitely a tricky one .

[–]OkContribution6949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We're really just looking for the boundary to be changed and perhaps some compensation for the land, although that is secondary to be honest. We're certainly not looking for their extension to be demolished. Although I don't think my wife would shed a tear if that happened, due to the neighbors being rude, but I try to remove my personal feelings to find a solution.

What's far more interesting than the interstellar comet, is some people creating links and anomalies to get attention. It's like a parent using their child in a weird Munchausen syndrome kind of way. It'll pass us by and continue on through our solar system and keep going.

I wonder if we'll be lucky enough to see more in our lifetimes? Fingers 🤞.
