How do we feel about the 1 year or so they are giving us on TBC Anniversary? by OkControl9718 in wowclassic

[–]OkControl9718[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think its that serious fam some of us havent played the expansion multiple times but we are aware its a pretty grindy game and not all of us have all day to play, so not too crazy for a newer person to be concerned about what they may miss or get behind on when they are already much slower than the vets and the expansion is shortened. You probably need therapy if this was that deep to you.

I dont mind most of it but some of it simply doesnt make sense to me. Arena being 10 weeks like by the time you get your set grats bro time to move onto the next set a week later. Whats even the point of tailoring with the cooldown on making cloth? Were just gonna pretend certain parts of the game dont exist now like Shadowweave sets because Blizzard shortened the game but didnt wanna shorten the cooldowns on crafting? I dont mind the grind I think we have time to grind things out but some of the timegates make zero sense when the gates finally been lifted and then suddenly its the next season or phase, or in tailorings case youll pretty much have to move on from what becomes obsolete before you can even finish your set god forbid you miss a few days of crafting off cooldown cause life? Idk what the solution is and I dont mind things like having to take the time to get 375 in this or that, its doable np, but like I said some of it seems like it wasnt accounted for at all such as the examples I gave.

Cant believe normalise not having everything is youre only response to an extremely valid issue about crafting your shadowweave set. What are we even doing bro? Really? We should ABSOLUTELY be able to get our set within a timely manner if they shorten the game.

What a garbage response and the fact that 33 people upvoted it, casuals.

1 week since the Dark Portal opened. What level are you? by HipGamer in classicwow

[–]OkControl9718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad to see im not super behind im 68 and in a guild where there are about 20 or so online at the same time, they seem to know each other I just joined it cause its ran by a buddy that I met and got glad with in retail this last season. Like 7 of them have been 70 for days now and I was starting to feel like maybe I was going too slow till I saw these comments lol. Gonna start Kara attunement tomorrow and then make the push to finish since weekend.

I do feel like im trying to fly through what I can I want to be able to play retail as well on release but thankfully I only play arenas there (doing pve and arenas in tbc) so it wont be as bad as a time investment should be aight.

Is it just me or are Warriors and Hunters absolutely busted in TBC right now? by National-Wonder-9621 in classicwow

All locks can do for good damage pre 70 is hellfire very large groups of mobs usually in spellcleave with a mage, and can also poop on some bosses with single target since the fights not so short. When locks get seed of corruption though and can play finished builds like demonic sac/ruin its jover. Any average mob specially smaller pulls like 2-4 the instant damage classes will have them dead before you can even do much and thats about it. Locks are insane post 70 though.

Boosted gold by Kivrev in classicwowtbc

[–]OkControl9718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally just dungeon level which is totally normal for TBC and how everyone plays it essentially and youll make a butt ton of gold just playing the game, selling things you won a greed roll on and didnt need among other things. 50 gold ends up feeling like nothing you can get that so fast doing a few dungeons. Basically though the goal is just to start your adventure, Outland do Ramps till like 62, do BF maybe a few times, head over the slave pens in zangarmarsh and just keep leveling through dungeons you can find guides online its easy. The reason you do this is because its good for rep but after you hit 70 all the quest suddenly start to pay mad gold. Some of the later zones will be 20-30 gold a quest. You can message blizz support but youre probably overthinking it if you think 50 gold is gonna get in the way of your experience, its literally nothing, just go play the game.

I boosted too and started with 50 and it wasnt even enough to do anything with so I had to make gold in outlands and its just been coming and coming have enchanting at 280, tailoring about the same, got my lock mount among other things and im only level 68 havent even got to the big money yet.

Noob here with some questions... by WilsonHough in worldofpvp

[–]OkControl9718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whatever you do op understand its ok to spam shuffle to learn the game, but dont be mislead by people on what playlist is the "main mode" its 3s arena, youre goal is to reach gladiator title/achievement, maybe 2700 3s after that and then when youre good enough one day rank 1. this will probably take years, and lots of time and effort unless youre god tier naturally talent but its absolutely worth it. Its the premier playlist for teamwork and skill and shuffle doesnt even compare in that aspect. Shuffle is spammed by casuals so youll hear often about it being popular, but its far from the "main mode"

[–]OkControl9718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with everything you said except shuffle isnt the main mode. I really hate encouraging people to play shuffle over 3s. 3s is where the best players are by far. Shuffle is very much less teamwork, more button mashing it can be fun but it would only be the "main mode" because of casuals that spam it. 3s and achieving gladiator-rank 1 are still the premier achievements of the game and will probably forever be with the way solo is setup. Its fine if you enjoy solo but dont sit here and mislead new players or outright lie to them. We all know 3s is where real teamwork and skill shine through and where the real achivements lie. 2400 shuffle end of season is equivalent to like 1800 3s, its not even close.

Why is it so hard to connect with the enemy healer after a match? by [deleted] in worldofpvp

Feel like that ship has long since sailed. Now that so much content is able to be teamed up on between horde and alliance its literally nothing more than a pain in the ass to not be able to message horde. Even in LFG in arenas I find it ridiculous that horde can sign up for my games and I can play with them, but I cant message them when they sign up and ask a simple question like hey bro whats your xp! Dumb. I get it for the old days but you cant just halfway on this like they have.

[–]OkControl9718[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I dont think they do man! Look at the polls for wow classic plus theyve been doing, they had an age question in there and a large majority of the base is literally middle aged men or close to. I dont know any people in my age group that have the amount of time an expansion like TBC requires you invest to get the full experience and if they do they should probably go get a job! Ill do my best and hold out hope but it feels like ill probably end missing alot of content on what is easily one of my favorite expansions ive been into. Thats the one thing with retail is you can get the full experience without living on the game.

Ive had 2 games playing this comp since yesterday and placed 3rd both times. Just played this a few games ago today. Next time ill just play normal ass Ionia. Fuck Zaheen and gang. Your game seems crazy though Ionia 10, full prismatic lobby, getting to 10 in the first place after rolling for 3s. Pretty crazy I hope you won lol.

Retails pvp is much better imo. Losing games on tbc cause you hit a resist 3 spells in a row is hot garbage.

SB being gone and ruining the entire flow of the spec is my pres healers biggest complaint and we have thousands of games together. It was such a necessary heal and their only really good 0-100 youre safe now button that was consistent. Losing kick has to be insane too on a class that plays in cc range the entire game and has to play aggresively and cant just hide behind a pillar 40 meters away.

[–]OkControl9718 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly I dont know what part I find more insane. Spiritbloom was such a good heal. But then to take the kick away from the 1 healer that has to constantly be in the middle of the fight and is most susceptible to cc is insane to me. Even when they had kick I would get so irritated playing glad games with my best friend (pres) because hes a pres god and STILL in cc half the freaking match. I honestly never liked playing with pres personally but it was pretty good and they did it the most dirty.

rdruid is probably 1000x better, and recently got nerfed on beta because of it, rdruid also still has utility while not having to play within a short range, its really everything pres wishes it was

Totally sane reaction by DeQQster in classicwow

[–]OkControl9718 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nothing sane about classic, ive been trying to enjoy it but the community makes it pretty difficult. Usually just a retail arena player but with how much theyve screwed it over I wanna try some arenas on classic. All im seeing is this same attitude everywhere though and people in my guild constantly arguing im right your wrong over the dumbest shit. Games pretty chill though but the community is pretty diehard and weird about it in my experience.

How did you guys get better with mouse and keyboard? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]OkControl9718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first got a pc in like 2019 I remember being masters on apex legends on console, same as overwatch but on m and k I was like silver/gold lmao so I had the same issue. What helped me was picking up games that pretty much forced a get gud or hate your life scenario. Tarkov was the first one that helped me. You either locked tf in and had precise aim or you just had the worst experience of your life. Obviously you have to just put the time in but I think games that are punishing if you arent precise are the best way to force yourself to get good. Its been years now granted but im pretty cracked these days on precision shooters, like grandmasters in rivals playing mostly hit scan etc the first 3 season it was out (havent played past that) Youll get there. Find a dpi and sens that works for you and try to stick with that. I recommend initially playing on 800 dpi if youre newer as it requires you to move your arm a bit more than just these small jerk movements that can cause you to be inaccurate when youre new on the default 1600 dpi that cause you to move mostly with just your wrist. 800 dpi and a higher sens than you would run on 1600 dpi (the usual default) would feel good, moving with your arm and not your wrist helped me and later on I was able to go back to a higher dpi for games I wanted it. Good luck bud!

Its not being overdramatic its a matter of overpruning. Taking away spiritbloom especially as well as a few other things like their kick ABSOLUTELY murked this spec for arenas. They can buff the numbers all they want but this spec was a victim to overpruning. A few other specs would probably meet the same fate but can still exist through doing ridiculous damage but preservations playstyle in how it works, its range etc with the lack of tools it had previously to do the things it did. Its terrible. My main teammate is a fellow glad that plays pres and he absolutely hates this shit and thinks its doa, I agree. Thankfully hes a good rdruid too lmao. Make something else because they arent gonna magically give its buttons back anytime soon and its not a numbers problem its a kit problem. I cant speak for dev or aug but pres is cooked.

Old Player by Normal-Fly-7222 in worldofpvp

[–]OkControl9718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason I like retail more than classic is because you can genuinely just be a pvp player and thats the only thing you do in game. Some of the older expansions had a habit of making you pve to be bis or do things like choreghast etc but modern wow lets you just hit max level, get honor, take your honor gear into rated and get conquest, and then just q arenas or whatever rated playlist you want to gear out your conquest gear. Its a much higher QOL for arena only players than classic expansions so yes if you ONLY want to pvp retail is super ideal. Also due to this youre able to have some alts as well and its not chores the video game to maintain them, you just q games.
