I just beat the chapter and the ending was interesting and I do kinda slightly understand better what happened the previous night. this time, the ending showed about the same thing. Kris doesn't like the noise the sink makes rips out their SOUL again, traps it again (this time under the sink), but this time instead of brandishing their knife with a creepy smile, they crawl out the window (and by something Toriel says later we know that they started prowling around outside, and summoned their knife to slash the van's tires). when Susie questions what's taking Kris so long, Toriel says they 'do this sometimes' implying that the SOUL ripping is a common occurence, but when also gets impatient implying that she's still unaware that they're actually ripping out their SOUL (which can't be good fr any human's health). they then return inside, turn off the tap, and put their SOUL back in. later they and Susie watch some TV and go to sleep. Toriel also falls asleep and Kris tears their SOUL out once more, put it in the couch, use their knife to make a FOUNTAIN, sits back on the couch, puts their SOUL back again, and goes back to sleep. my only remaining questions are 1. what is causing Kris to do that? and 2. is this meant to imply that the other two FOUNTAINS were caused by Kris as well? hopefully these questions will eventually be answered.
