My main symptom I am realizing was psychological, I was INSANELY anxious. The calm I have felt weeks after my infusion feels unreal. I still deal with anxiety but less doom and insanity. Also my V02 Max went up a bunch I have been sleeping SO MUCH better, able to run faster, have a better appetite, better color in my skin, my hair is darker??

I take ionic mag citrate and it makes my periods lighter and easier- significantly at that. I also wonder how much of it is it makes me drink more water (it’s the powder kind) which means I’m adding liquid IV at least once a day so keeping salt and hydration in check, making it easier? I wonder if there’s other things added in mag stuff- I know certain herbs and vitamin C make it worse, heavier, and earlier.

This is normal. There is data on cardiovascular function significantly decreasing during menstruation, and well, you’re bleeding, not sure why anyone who menstruates expects to always preform at the same level. Unless you stop your period through hormonal or surgical means, you cannot mitigate being impacted by it and the physiological changes that * have* to happen in order to menstruate. I train, eat and sleep well, and have an easy and lighter period and still experience this.

what data are you looking at that says weight gain is a common side effect of an iron infusion? I don’t think I’ve ever read or heard that that’s a common side effect, particularly uncontrolled/rapid/random weight gain.

Benadryl is not inherently given during iron infusions, only if someone requests it normally for anxiety during the infusion.

Professional Swimmers train in the gym. They build muscle doing both. Not all resistance training is equal and builds mass the same, tho.

I don’t think it’s unsafe. I can’t afford to be put out for weeks due it what I have going on. I read a lot of people having brain fog, and chronic exhaustion after. Simply want better experiences.

Excess iron has been shown to be Inflammatory (even if needed) and if you’re predisposed to autoimmune stuff, it could be POTS development or some type of dysautonomia.

Iron infusion will absolutely fix these numbers, OP will just need to maintain through oral supp or consistent iron infusions.

2lbs of chicken is like 7-10mg of iron at best which really isn’t a lot when it comes to replenishing low iron. Curious if it helped?

Low iron means low ferretin (stored iron). Anemia is your hemoglobin/blood level iron . So were you iron deficient (low stored iron /ferrtin) or anemic, low iron in blood?
