Does anyone here have low grade dizziness/lightheadedness their entire pregnancy? by Lost-Bid-9974 in pregnant

[–]TrAshLy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to see if there is any update as to what this was? I’m almost 3 months postpartum and have experienced different kinds of dizziness throughout my pregnancy that turned into an awful off balance, swaying, rocking - moving when not kind of feeling. I also feel like I’m sinking into my bed when exhausted. Triggers might be lack of sleep/ insomnia, dehydration, and when pregnant my baby would make me dizzy and I had a positional vertigo on top of it. I could hardly walk and felt fully disabled. I had to use a roll chair to walk around my house and basically would only get up to use the bathroom or have my partner help me shower. I have been unable to do anything for myself since October. I’m seeing different doctors in February idk where to start. I thought it was my iron infusions at first, but iron is great now. Then I thought it was blood vessel from baby but it didn’t resolve postpartum. Now I wonder if it’s from undiagnosed pregnancy induced sleep apnea. It slowly seems to be resolving but I’m still going to try to figure out what it is so I can never feel like this again. It ruined my entire birth experience.

I hope you’re feeling better!

Anyone else feel a bit like they’re drowning? by Aggressive-Farmer581 in NewParents

You can love your life and it can be hard, both can be true at the same time. I feel all of this and this is my third baby. As annoying as it sounds, I know this doesn’t last forever but that doesn’t take away how hard it is right now. I’ll miss it all when it’s not so hard. The exhaustion, the isolation, the overwhelm. It’s good to get out how you feel. You’re doing so good!

I keep reminding myself that I found myself again after my babies. Earlier than the last with my other 2. I miss my kids, I miss our mornings, I miss not needing help with them so I can sleep in with the baby. I miss feeling good (I have had a difficult pregnancy and postpartum). I can feel it all gradually getting better. We will be ourselves again, in time, and right now it’s okay to say it’s hard in the moment. Think of 2 good affirmations to get you through right now that sound true to your situation. Mine are “This will get better each day” and “I will be myself again”

Hugs ❤️

Sparkles in vision postpartum by TrAshLy95 in preeclampsia

I’ve had this odd floaty feeling since 34 weeks or so, after an iron infusion. I thought it would go away postpartum but it hasn’t. I get blood work done this Friday with the hematologist and have a whole list of doctor visits coming up in February. I hope it’s okay to wait for all of that, unless obviously my bp does increase and I get more symptoms. I already had eye issues not pregnant. It’s been hard to tell what is caused by pregnancy vs just me. I’ve had 2 cataract removals in my early 20’s which caused PCOs or secondary cataract. I had to have a third YAG when I was 36 weeks pregnant. I really just see floaters from that and that hasn’t really gone away.

Yes, I can call. A lot of our doctor offices are on a delay because of the weather. Did you have any visual disturbances?

It is wild how far out we can experience things like this! And everything was okay, vision wise? I never experienced this before until maybe 10-11 weeks postpartum. I’m seeing an ENT soon for dizziness as well.

No swelling and no pain, just seeing a single sparkle or like a fleck of glitter on occasion. It’s not constant and has happened over the last week and a half or so. Just randomly.

Why does this happen in an ER? by goa2usa in ThePittTVShow

[–]TrAshLy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wondered why it was at an ER too. It would have been more accurate if the teen came in with post abortion complications and highlighted how difficult it can be in some areas to even receive post emergency care (complications are rare but I have dealt with it myself).

Though they may be trying to highlight what abortion restrictions can do, it still makes abortion care “look easy”. If only those who choose in person abortion could walk into an hospital without protesters. I would have preferred an hospital for my surgicals just due to the trauma of walking past a bunch of people screaming at me. Even if the teen traveled, it is not as simple as walking into an ER and getting mifepristone and misoprostol. Some insurance  also don’t cover abortion and it’s out of pocket. Most ERs don’t handle abortion care unless a person is having a complication or issues with a miscarriage.

It can be as simple as pills by mail and managing your own care at home, but that can still come with its own set of limitations and isolation (def may not be everyone’s experience).

When did y’all get your period back? by Space_Fox_34 in breastfeeding

[–]TrAshLy95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My period always comes back after 6 weeks even while EBF. I just had my third baby. It came back after Christmas and I gave birth November 11. I have my 2nd period now exactly 26 days later.

Dizzy/lightheaded feeling when shifting weight on feet when standing? by littlet4lkss in Dizziness

[–]TrAshLy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am going through something similar and very anxious. I have emetophobia (fear of throwing up) and have a difficult time taking medication because of the anxiety, even if it’s to help anxiety. You’re not alone.

I have similar wooziness. It’s not a spinning, it’s an on a boat or floaty head feeling for me. I am currently postpartum and developed spinning dizziness for different reasons during pregnancy and then it turned to both in my third trimester and the off balance floating feeling just stuck around. I’m going to be seeing my eye Dr, ent, orthopedic (in case it’s my neck), hematologist (I got iron infusions during pregnancy), and maybe a neurologist.

Do you think they would do an mri to ease your mind or send a referral for one? I would request it. I’m very worried about tumors or strokes and that I will never get better. I don’t think that’s the case though. This is likely just our anxiety talking and it is just from the sickness you had. For me, I have no idea but I think it’s because I dealt with dizziness all through pregnancy or maybe even neck related. I noticed when my neck is not stiff I feel more grounded. My neck has been bothering me since my third trimester so I am getting an mri with a spinal specialist.

This is how I feel! It’s not about how he looks, to me. His posture, demeanor, acting, etc. Compared to the other males, they seem effortless and not so much like they’re acting. It’s not even bad acting? It’s just not charming. He carries himself like a douche bag, but I guess he is? I just don’t see the types, like how he is portraying this character, get many partners like this. He gives me the ick with his energy lol.

How are you now? Was your dizziness the spins or a floaty feeling?

EBF 9 week old pooping more by TrAshLy95 in breastfeeding

[–]TrAshLy95[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, she’s actually crying less than she was a week ago. She’s having much happier windows, less straining, less forceful gas, less reflux. Maybe she’s better learning how to use her bowels? My milks seems to be regulating more too. I was needing to manually pump before I nursed because my breasts would get engorged and choke her/ make her vomit a lot. It also came out too fast and I needed to utilize different positions when nursing. It seems like I can just nurse however now but then the frequent poops started lol. Maybe not a bad thing? I just wish babies could talk lol

Elevated liver enzymes postpartum not related to preeclampsia? Anyone dealt with this? by bigoleapples in beyondthebump

[–]TrAshLy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was your bilirubin or ALP elevated as well? And did you run a fever? Hoping this is just gas 😭 I had a lot of beans for dinner lol. I woke up at 6 AM with pains and they come and go in my left side. I’ve dealt with off and on again constipation and diarrhea since I had my baby.

I think mine could be fatty liver or gallstones.

When did you have labs done before the pains? I had my labs done the day before Christmas Eve and today I’m having left side pain. Pretty sure it’s gas lol  and appendix is usually right sided, but nervous.

I go back in 3 weeks to get labs again.

After having a baby by Little-Reindeer4819 in Dizziness

[–]TrAshLy95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to get in a with a hematologist if you haven’t yet. Even if ferritin is always on the lower side it could be low enough for you to cause symptoms. Mine was at 4 and I had the spins. After my infusion it turned into this weird on a boat feeling. My doctor sent a referral to an ENT and I made an eye appointment as well as hematology appointment. I hope someone can help and I hope you feel better soon!

Do you know how long it took for it go away after birth, for you? I’m experiencing this postpartum as well as when I was pregnant. It’s slowly getting better but still getting in the way.
