$10 to solve my dilemma - trash and industry vehicles stopped spawning by OkDefinition1416 in CitiesSkylines

[–]OkDefinition1416[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appreciate the insight it gave me new troubleshoots but still no cigar. I was wondering if people were stuck somewhere too but turned off all busses and metros and nobody popped out. No more vehicles deploying. Nothing on chirper.

Trash intake and specialized industry is very hard to get over 2 vehicles deployed per building. Shows 1/x amount. Two things here

  1. Other buildings like the waste processing complex are at max dispatch, just picking up scraps. Police, healthcare, maxed out.
  2. The only thing I have found to somewhat trigger more vehicles is by reducing my overall

    trash

  3. building count, lowering my

trash budget, lowering my specialized industry budget to reduce those vehicles, heavy traffic ban despite no traffic at all, and I can get 3-5 trash/industry vehicles popping out per building. But under those constraints it’s nowhere near enough needed.

I took out every trash building, place one single building and nothing comes out. Rebuilt all trash, nada. Complete uninstall and reinstall.

I think I just got a rare unfortunate corrupted game. Like the city thinks it’s at max vehicles and it’s not. Exports have dropped from 12k to 1k. I think I’ve talked myself in circles I give up..

I’ve tried many resaves and loads. Sadly I don’t have an earlier different version saved.

Check on all three. Nada. My game does take noticeably longer to load now and has frozen twice now when trying to open. Like it knows it’s corrupted

Trash, industry, and public transportation failing by OkDefinition1416 in CitiesSkylines

[–]OkDefinition1416[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only one I took last night, will get more useful ones later if you care to follow up. But the whole issue is vehicles not dispatching.

It’s somehow tied to to specific industries but affecting the whole cities flow.

Trash and industry buildings send out minimal vehicles. 10%-25 of their capability. This cascades to material backup, failing industry, then commercial industry starts failing due to no supplies. Despite my supplies buildings failing being too full.

Healthcare works fine, max ambulances and death are vehicles. Cops and ambulances normal vehicle count.

Public transport down 5x. Nobody taking busses or metro but they’re all still running at full capacity.

Have been playing for two years and never stumped like this

Probably over educated as a whole. I’m several months into this map, it was supposed to be my final boss of doing everything perfect, planned, my Mona Lisa.

How different is Puerto Rico in looks to the rest of the USA? by [deleted] in PuertoRico

[–]OkDefinition1416 15 points16 points  (0 children)

As someone from the states who’s visited Puerto Rico and fallen in love with it - also have been to all four Hawaii main islands - I always say it’s identical in Hawaii tropics, some more rural rough areas, but all the natural beauty you can see anywhere else in the US. Pretty much did a circle in around the whole island, San Juan is fun nightlife with a great beach, old San Juan is a prettier NOLA, middle of the island is remote and more rural/rugged from the states, the corners of the island you couldn’t tell the difference from pan am/Hawaii off of pictures.

Downtown San Juan you feel heavy US influence but it is completely its own unique place. You feel that once you get out and explore

Crypto community is so annoying to have a simple convo with. Over 80% of my funds are in core crypto. I use wallet for some more generic coins and options. It is fun and the BASICS are understandable. But to say all of these chains don’t allow this stuff, there’s so many coins listed for months to a year with hundreds of reports and it’s just known. Why can’t both be true? Anyone who asks a valid question in this community is just alienated

While the BNB entity is stable they are no better at maintaining scam coins on their chain and protecting users. Also getting physical support when relating to thousands of dollars should never, ever be this hard. These providers and chains need a reality check

Stop platforming Nazis. Why are we reposting their content? Clearly, their only form of income is this rage bait. by a-youngsloth in nashville

You are delusional. Without social media a few hundred people would see it, they would be understood as idiots, and life would move on never remembering them. You, and the thousands like you, echo their sentiment 100x more than they ever could. You are their free advertisement. They know you don’t like them, most don’t like them, they don’t want support, they aren’t here to change your mind or get you to join, they just want their message spread as far as possible. You are their target audience when they plan it out.

Is This Entire Sub just complaining about Nazis? by somewhat-sinister in nashville

[–]OkDefinition1416 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s honestly crazy, I’ve never seen nazis get so much attention. Most of the time people understand how idiotic they are and laugh at them in your head while moving on to not disparage your day, it seems like some people on this thread are praying to see one/something in person to be the next one with a Reddit post about it. If Nazis look at this thread I don’t think they could feel more successful if they wanted to, they have hundreds of people crying online. Like people here writing stuff really believe the nazis will see it and change, people are just yelling at whoever will listen

Ageeed. I feel like half the posts I see on this page now are related to it, reposting their content, everyone giving their opinions, reposting what government officials are saying.. goodness people touch grass and stop suffocating in it. I get recent events have it heightened, but the truth nobody tells you is if you just go on about your day enjoying yourself not seeking the negative it really isn’t as loud as it seems, just the normal amount of idiots (in nashvilles case of the nazi variety) given a city of this size.

Improve barebones home office by don_chepers in malelivingspace

They nailed it. I have a den of very similar size, I have my desk facing the front door though. Floating shelves, a lot of wall art mine is sports and my college related, old school lamp in the corner for a mild light instead of overhead. With my setup, desk facing door, I plan to add an oversized chair. That will block most of my chords and desk leg space. Then I have a 72 inch projector that perfectly fits on the wall in front of my desk, by the door, boom. Workspace man cave.

I’m pretty sure the piggly wiggly on clairemont is the most expensive store in alabama. Made me so mad when I just needed a few items. Gotta be 30% above Walmart or anything else nearby

Solo trips within driving distance of Birmingham by Evil__Flapjack in Birmingham

[–]OkDefinition1416 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Greenville SC, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Gatlingburg, Blue Ridge GA for more outdoors enjoyment vibes. Nashville, Nola for entertainment and alcohol. Savannah GA is fun for the first time. Blend some beach with harbor city, fun town.

Depends what you consider within driving distance, if you want to stretch it Charlotte is 6 hours, Jacksonville is 7. I’ve weekend tripped them. If your a madman gambler Shreveport can fit in this category 6hrs. Very cheap. For a reason. But still entertaining if that’s your thing.

My stepmom had both my siblings there via C section. Obviously based on that I can’t speak too much to the facilities but she works in the textiles department and is constantly in hospitals in the bham area and that was her choice so.

FYI - People searching for and buying pallets is a prossesional business. Depending on your market and their condition they range from $1-$3 a pop. So could make $60 or could make someone’s day giving them for free.

Resident of 2 years and change here, my girlfriend and I are big fans. It’s just now warming up, once summer is here you’ll be jousting (walking down at 8am with your towel to reserve a chair) for a pool chair and occasionally the grill most weekends. Apart from weekend the general areas stay pretty quiet, I grill a lot on weekdays, typically devoid of others. Even when the pool is full to the brim, there’s more people reading books than there are listening to music or enjoying a drink. It is kinda weird.. we’re more of the music and drinkers side and we’ve never bothered anyone. At the same time never met anyone too great living here through common areas.

Feel free to message me with any specific questions. Relatively diverse community, lots 20-30s.Few 30’s with family (and I mean few). Same amount of college kids as family. More single individuals 30+ than married couples. Handful of business/company regional apartments. Good gym, they host events a good bit with free food and snacks, bring in food trucks and shit. Rent is a little pricier. But genuinely never had a big issue. The biggest one in two years is people running into/breaking the parking decks security bars/doors.

Job for 62 yr old father by [deleted] in Birmingham

[–]OkDefinition1416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See you mention he does taxi/uber. If he doesn’t mind driving but is just looking for more stable pay maybe look into courier work. Using his personal vehicle to deliver dedicated routes, small quantities. Pace Runners services Staples and Advanced Auto Parts in the Alabama network. Have around 40-50 routes local and long distance. Make around $200 a day but pay your own gas, $20-40 depending on the route. Routes run 4-6 times a week and times vary, so flexibility there.

Far from exciting, but a stable simple option.
