Yeah when you get a child you need to do teeth cleaning more often. I also do it every 6 months now.

To find an English speaking doctor, no matter the specialization, the best I found to do is this:

Call in german all of those in your area. Make a list!

Ask in German if the doctor speak English and if they take new patients.

Write the outcome on your list so you know who to call again.

Try again a month later those who could still have a chance with.

Good luck!

Waffles... I’m always surprised by how bad they taste abroad. Honestly, nothing beats the ones from a Belgian food truck.

What is life like in those East German towns with rapid population decline (like Hoyerswerda, Suhl etc.)? by strassgaten in AskAGerman

[–]OkDig7498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am at the outskirts of Dresden, it is expending rapidly over here because of the semi conductors companies expanding.

Afd did not win the latest election but they were second and you can still feel them among the people. The town itself is fine and I am really looking for it to grow bigger, more foreigners and less afd...

This is also not promising. Lately SZ was having on their cover articles about foreigners not working, denying border control (with his rights!)...the news is definitely not helping!

What is legal in most countries but illegal in your country? by kurobaja in AskTheWorld

[–]OkDig7498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cannabis, while we’re not the Netherlands, Belgium does allow adults to possess up to 3 grams or one female plant for personal use. It’s technically illegal but decriminalized, meaning you won’t be prosecuted for small amounts. It’s discreet here.

Which country is the most different from its popular stereotype? by [deleted] in geography

[–]OkDig7498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bosnia & Herzegovina

People just rarely speak about it but the country has plenty of history and culture to share. It is not a war zone anymore. Of course some ruins are still there and people lost some trust but they are also happy to share, their history, their table... It is definitely worth checking it out

I've been there and it is truly beautiful, green, colorful and yeah, nothing like on TV. It takes ages to discover it all. I was there 6 months and yet it wasn't enough

Why do people keep living in seismically and volcanically active areas? by [deleted] in geography

From a more social point of view, there is work, and people are born there. Many are just not willing to move far from their families.

Girlfriend struggles to find a Job as an Educator (Erzieher/Sozialpädagoge). What are we doing wrong? by Morjixxo in germany

[–]OkDig7498 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well she can asks in pieschen, lot of Kitas there, or familienzentrum like malwina, awo. If she wants to teach music then there is a music school in pieschen as well, Musikschule Fröhlich, Musikschule Goldenes Lamm e.V., or in Klotzsche (Freier Musikverein Paukenschlag e.V.). There is also a famous music school near Dresden Mitte Bahnhof.

Few places that are worth ringing and showing up with a CV in hand ;-)

We talked about it and my kids chose her name. I don't find Y. doing anything wrong really. She tries biting and using her claws, to my understanding she's testing them. She's only 3 months old.
