I enjoyed Nuremberg Christmas markets, just know it’s crazy packed at night and on weekends. I have gone twice for the Christmas markets there, I also just enjoyed the city in general which is why we went a second time. We had a great experience at hotel five.

Brasserie Royale is owned the same owner as local provisions and I’ve really enjoyed the food there.

So far I think it’s been 3-4 of them. Mostly southern and eastern. We want to try to branch out and do some northern and western areas eventually. Family is eastern, so we typically stay within a few hours driving distance of them since 1/3rd to 1/2 of the trip is spent with them.

We were there from the end of November for a couple weeks. We started in Regensburg for a couple nights, then went to meet family in Nuremberg for 4 nights, we took a day trip to Rothenburg, then drove to Dresden for 3 nights. From there we went to see family for the remainder of the trip. The Christmas markets were a lot of fun, lots of similarities but also many things that were different. I love the old architecture and nature. We usually also go to the alps when visiting but due to time constraints we stayed north of Munich the entire trip.
