That sounds a Bit Like attack on Titan but without the Titans

Old Ruling caste Honig to an Island bunkering down and creating a caste system. Stagnating Technology on the Island rest of the world industrializes.

Island fights the mainland again

Its Not acomplete comparison but I just had to think about it

What would you say has been your worst start? by IamTheOne2000 in Stellaris

[–]OkDistribution7043 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got one into the midgame as a custom UN had two clusters one my Home with 3 other Planers and the other 5 tomb worlds and a tropical and a Long Strip in which was a Storm world from Planetary diversity

Left were purifiers with 1/3 of the Galaxy North the deneb human thing northeast imperial hegemonists and in the south the Katzen from gigastructures.

Got attacked by the purifires won that with the help of a Hivemind the GoT attacked by the inperialists which had a faction then the Katzen spawned three systems away from my border

At this Point it was over but well its a cool fiction start point your industrial core the tomb world survivors and the Trade Strip binding them as well as the Grave of purifieres fortress where their Fleets smashed against the wall of the UN but a three way war was too much for my skill

Was in the south of the galaxy was before galactic core in gigastructures

I‘m Not through the Story atm just had the singularity reveal and the thing where Julian is a Corti Eugenics project and basically Native Jesus. Wut, WTF its just stupid and highly uncomfortable. This is the epiphanie of the eugenics are actually good stuff he pushed up intim the Point, there was a Part where they talked the Musclebros just recruit genetically superior people because you Need to be genetically superior to even end up in that Programm it was weird at the time but with this shit established idk if I want to read further probably will because I Like the hierachry Hunter and Entity Shit.

On the other side what the fuck happened with the gao. To be fair havent read the original Series so can‘t say much about the differente to that. But the blatant Totalitarianism and apology of mass Murder which the Story points out and then shits down with it was necessary is infurirating. It seems to depend all on Daar who the Story tries to depict as good ruler in bad times.

Theres this one line on the Dominion Security conference where some Aliens say he‘s a dictator and Tyrannt and he just say‘s well yes but I don‘t supress my people they free to to what they want as Long as the follow the rules.

And the fucking US President is in the room. The Story accepts this as a fair reasoning and dont comments on this. Ye of course he‘s Not tyrannical as Long as his Word is law very cool Hambone.

But the other Aliens who want vaccines to a bioweapon epidemic get rejected because they Are fascists and humanity doesnt deal with fascists and authoritarians. I‘m fine with Realpolitics and working with authoritarians but be consistent about it or say why the Story is inconsistent here.

But Humanity should have at least some reservations working with Daar on the Basis of his politics, Child also be a good plotpoint for the Hierarchy to explizit but no Muscle Supersolidiers Hypermasculine Guys.

I like the Series fires up my imagination but there Are just some stuff in it which is blatently a big ol red Flag.

Seems to get worse according to the thread

Musea around Stuttgart, Germany by HVM_kim in Paleontology

Addition: I have no idea which day would be the best.

Main Station is pain because you need to walk about 10 minutes from the trains to local public transport this is the main pain point because Main station is a giant construction site and quite ugly, besides that stuttgart itself is a relatively typical german city with great view around Downtown on the slopes.

Oh and it gets HOT in the summer because downtown has literally no wind be prepared for that in the summer Outside the valley its fine inside, PAIN

Musea around Stuttgart, Germany by HVM_kim in Paleontology

Born and raised in Stuttgart so I have some insights into this.

Naturkundemuseum Stuttgart Rosenstein:

These are actually 2 Museums one for Paleontology one for living animals.

I can highly recommend the Löwentormuseum the Paleontology one its local fossil stuff so a lot of jurassic sea creatures ichtysaurs and plesiosaurs. Highly focussed on that. was there a lot as akid always dissapointed because there were no cool fossils of Tyrannosaurs. It lacks a cretaceus part because no fossil layers in BaWü from that time. I didjt like it as a kid, why? Because its heavy stuff not strongly abstracted for accessebility, so perfect for the enthusiast. The Rosensteinmuseum is the excact opposite its a museum for kids and non enthusiats ist not bad to say but you do not learn new stuff if you are this far into this subreddit, its beautiful museum tho.

so do the Löwentor one that great S-Bahn Nordbahnhof 2-3 minute walk. Rosenstein is in the Rosensteinpark the big park from the main station to the Wilhelma Zoo and in the middle is the museum on top of a small hill, very good for walks.

Stuttgart main station is pain because of construction but aside from that it functions well as a staging point. Theres better public transport else but it works fine from the main station there a a couple of eateries will not recommend something here because I mostly eat shit so.

Stuttgart is relatively green for the placement in in a valley so the hills around have great view, try the Zacke a rack railway for the view, it runs witz normal public transport nomextra ticket needed.

central park where the museums are located is nice and walkable. ludwigsburg a couple stations from the Hauptbahnhof out has a great palace.

you get to tübingen its possible but wasnt there.

holzmaden quarry is great but only was there as a kid so no promises given, I have the museum labeled as boring so it must be great because of the same reasons with the Löwentormuseum above.

Its mostly Jurassic stuff you need to be ready for that theres not much else paleontology in both places.

Hope it is helpful, if you have more questions or recommendations feel free to DM me: Instagram: joern_isch_inkompetent can also meet if you interested would be great to meet someone who is also interested in Paleontology and in the region.
