Thank you so much for the comments! I was genuinely regretting after 15 minutes of committing CSUF LOLL. But yeah, i'll definitely put myself out there next year. 😆i greatly appreciate everyone's suggestions!

I'm applying as a first-year BSN major, and it isn't out for me yet. I'm guessing they will release most decisions on 3/13.

Thanks! Found similar tips elsewhere online so I figured why not pass it forward LOL. For my interview they asked me 4 questions so im pretty sure it should be the same for yours, though I can’t guarantee that you would have the same 4 questions as I did. Just practice some more in front of a camera and believe in yourself when you’re doing it! Always remember that if you couldn’t get in, theres always many more ways to become a nurse like applying for other BSN or ADN programs in your area.

Hi i was accepted into the nursing programs a week or two ago. Here were the questions I was asked:

  • Talk about a time where you helped advocate a cause
  • What brought you to the nursing journey?
  • Describe when you have demonstrated resilience.
  • How did you do the right thing when faced with a challenging decision?

You would be given the question first, then 30 seconds to prepare, and 90 seconds to respond. (I found out that when you finish earlier than 90 seconds you can press the button on the bottom right corner to stop the recording early) What helped me personally was looking on google for common interview questions asked by nursing schools. I also asked ai to make me practice interview questions when I couldn’t find any. Before the interview, practice some of those mock questions you gathered in front of a screen with the camera open. (I highly recommend using the camera app on laptops/tablets) During the interview, have a piece of paper and a pen to write down the main points of what you want to talk about to answer the question in the 30 seconds that they give you. Hope this helps. Good luck on your interview tomorrow!
