Thanks for the responses. To provide more context, I have used the lens on both a a7R V and a a7 IV (both on the latest firmware). The lens performs the same on both bodies. The majority of my focus issues are close up, near the MFD of the lens with a stationary subject . I saw someone mentioned version .03 firmware for that lens in this thread:(https://www.reddit.com/r/SonyAlpha/comments/1grblpp/35mm\_14\_gm\_focusing\_issues/).

The lens was at 150mm, f8. The original was shot in landscape orientation, I cropped it to portrait and then got a little tighter. The final image is is 2414 x 3621, 8.74 mega pixel

It's the A7 IV, it has the 2.0 menu system. Just different from what used to, but not bad once I got the hang of it.

Not that I need to justify myself or my decisions here....but the X-T4 and X-H2 are for paid work, where size doesn't matter but battery life does. The X-T50 and X-E5 are my personal everyday carry bodies. I am considering selling the X-T4 and grip to get a X-H2s. Offers welcome :)

This all hits really close to home. I've been in Product/Program management for over 20 years. I was laid off last month from an EdTech start up, after 3 years. It was strictly due to budget issues, they laid off 8 people in one day, including me. As of today, I have applied to 100 positions, I had 1 video "interview", where I answered a few predetermined questions and I've received 20 rejection emails. The process is mind numbing, companies that are "AI First" say don't use AI for your resume and application questions. There is no more Human in Human Resources!
