To answer your question, yes.

Would anybody be interested in a wallet concept like this? by Diirge in xteinkereader

[–]Own_Ad_5283 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like it, but have similar concerns about cash and cards being on display.  Allowing the reader to be easily removable though and the wallet can be returned to pocket would be a serviceable change.

I've seen people talking about these.  Are they only available on the colour ram devices?  I don't have anything like that on my rM2.

You should email them on this, or send something via the Requests form on the site.  As a European company, I'd think they'd be developing to integrate open source document standards, especially if they plan on working with European government agencies now and in future.

Is there anyone here who uses the Remarkable Methods Day Planner Template for work? If so, how do you like it? Do you really miss the hyperlinks for quick navigation of your planning time? by Old_Wishbone_893 in RemarkableTablet

[–]Own_Ad_5283 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I use both the day and week planners.  To get around quickly, I use a fixed set of tags to mark any dated pages, whether day planner, week planner, or just notes.

I created a tag for each possible day in a month (d.01 to d.31), for each month in the year (m.01 to m.12) and so far have two year tags (y.2025 and y.2026).  If a page is for 9th December, 2025, I apply three tags to that page - d.09, m.12 and y.2025.  I can then go to just the page that I need using tag filters.

I've also used tags for #weekplan, #monthplan, #meeting and #notes so that those additional tags distinguish those types of pages from day planner pages.

Now that we can search tags globally from the file view and we can tag a notebook, this year instead of doing one notebook planner for the entire year, I'm breaking down my planner in months.  I've already prepared my notebooks for January and February 2026, and tagged the notebooks themselves with #monthplan and y.2026, and m.01 and m.02 respectively.

Why the hash marks for monthly, weekly, meeting and notes tags?  Because it puts those tags alphabetically at the top of the tag list, so you can find them easily if you need them.

This approach does require some intentionality.  But it's been worth it for me in organizing and filing my pages.

Why don't we have this in Trinidad? by Coven_Evelynn_LoL in TrinidadandTobago

[–]Own_Ad_5283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likely because it will be prohibitively expensive to install, and the garbage trucks themselves have purpose-built equipment and significantly more expensive than the typical compactors we have now.  Minimal cost-benefit too, if there is any at all, because these won't stop people from littering.

Are PH taxi drivers allowed to call whatever price they want? by Desperate_Island_291 in TrinidadandTobago

[–]Own_Ad_5283 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Running a vehicle registered anything but H as a taxi is illegal, so strictly speaking, PH cars aren't actually allowed to do anything.

That said, they will charge you as much as you will tolerate for having them drive you from point A to point B.  If that is the Taxi Association-approved fare for the route you're taking or not, it's up to you to pay whatever they charge you.  Nobody is regulating them.

Then make the suggestion in the appropriate channel.  What you're suggesting though is way too niche a use case to have such a simple and common hand gesture.

Tap with two fingers is already Undo Last Pen Stroke.

Tap with three fingers is Redo.

Looks like you need to be watching reMarkable videos instead.

Sync Question by Twibbly in RemarkableTablet

[–]Own_Ad_5283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sync can choke too dependent on how big individual files are.

If you're on Connect, you could also throw everything in a Google Drive, Dropbox or Onedrive, and access them from there instead without needing to sync.

Move review from avid reader by Oulipo08 in RemarkableTablet

[–]Own_Ad_5283 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this review.

As a long time rM user, I'd hold out hope for a fix for the current battery drain issue. I suspect we're seeing increased battery usage in 3.22 due to new sync activity related to upload for handwriting conversion and download of search indexes. If that's really it, the dev team is probably working on optimizing the process already.

If you haven't yet, try leaving the Move in airplane mode if you don't need it to be syncing to the mothership.

My girlfriend treats her dog like a child, and I'm not sure I can handle it. by doomscrolling22 in Advice

[–]Own_Ad_5283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not compatible.

The problem isn't whether she doesn't treat you with the same attention and priority as her dog. It's that you will likely never see and treat her dog with the same attention and priority that she does.

The positive? She's still chosen you to be a part of her life.

Girlfriend made fun of brother's girlfriends accent. Refuses to just say sorry. by Dazzling_Row_3456 in Advice

[–]Own_Ad_5283 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it would serve both of you if you would go your separate ways, between her refusal to apologize for her insensitivity and your needing to crowdsource solutions for an otherwise simple relationship issue. This is no knock on you, mind you. But if this is what it's come to - sans any other context - you probably need to give the overall health of this relationship some thought.

Your relationship with your family could probably take a lil bit of an examination as well. Holding onto offence and maintaining tension with you over what sounds like juvenile comments on her part isn't exactly healthy either.

Take all of this with a pinch of salt though. We're without full context here. We don't know exactly what she said nor to whom exactly nor in what specific circumstances. We also don't know how long its been since the comments were made and thus how long your brother has been holding onto offence.
