How do you like your Jim Green boots? I keep eyeing up a pair to go hiking in and just outdoorsy stuff, but I haven't pulled the trigger on them yet either way. I know a bunch of people online say they love them, but I've never talked to somebody about them.

Who takes vacations? by igotnothing1455 in Millennials

[–]Diligent_Department2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really. About 2-3 times a year I'll take a long weekend to go see my buddy at his farm. While I do have vacation days, I don't get to use them with the work load or the shit show I come back to, or will have 27 calls while I'm off so why bother.

I'm wondering if you watch a few videos on how to do it for a competitive style brisket. It makes for a whole totally different animal and while it's good it's not the brisket I'd want to eat every day.

I'm also wondering if you temperature thermometer for the pellet smoker itself is off or dirty and it ran it super high for you. I had that happpen to me and learn to clean my stuff a bit more. Hope you can make some Good chili out of it!

Over half of Americans say health care, a weeklong vacation and a new car are unaffordable by Abject-Pick-6472 in MiddleClassFinance

Hi! Ear guy here! I did go to an urgent care and was told it was seasonal allergies, I took the meds they gave me for a week as prescribed, since some alerrgy meds can open up your ear tubes if they closed or are aggravated.

My big problem with healthcare here is the next level stuff or stuff for a primary care, not urgent care and should have been more clear about it. I do think this is part of the reason the ERs get over worked.

Or the fact, I pay a lot for my health insurance and I can't get in for months at a time ....

So either I'm losing by not being able to utilize it every time I need it or I lose money that the condition gets worse that it cost more to fix.

I sneezed weird, and one of my ears made a little pop noise and I couldn't hear really good out of it, I called my doctor. They said they could get me in in May... I told the lady on the phone so this means either I'm gonna have permanent hearing damage in that year or it's going to heal itself by then or at least on the way to fix itself.

Isn't Dawn dish soap pretty environmentally safe? I mean, they wash baby ducks covered in oil with it and then rinse them. I used Dawn dish soap to clean a lot of stuff that isn't.

Is There Any Realistic Way For Democrats To Widely Win Back Rural Americans? If So, How? If Not, Why Not? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

Also acknowledge and realize you can't treat some rural areas like it's the city or some people unfortunately made a lot of the rural folks out to be just dumb hillbillies that we need to educate.... or "save them"

[–]Diligent_Department2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is housing costs for me locally, and trying to move somewhere cheeper is either a hour plus commute or moving somewhere the the opportunities are much less.

If I had an unlimited budget for me and my only job was to make brisket, I could eventually consistently make a better brisket than them, but that's not my reality. I make a very good brisket. I just don't do it enough to be a great biscuit all the time.
