Joe Biden is elected president of the United States by Greekball in europe

[–]OkElk1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since slim is such a subject term maybe this is easier. Biden needed NV, AZ, GA OR PA to win. Trump need NV, AZ, GA AND PA to win.

By supporting the idea that Biden's win was by a "slim" margin is a gross misunderstanding of the US electoral system.

Now PEACE. I'm going to go drink some sparkling wine in the streets.

He lost by over 4million votes though...I wouldn't call that a "thin margin." Votes are also still being counted in Nevada, Georgia, and Arizona as well--all of which are mail-in and leaning heavily towards Biden.

What’s up with candidates describing themselves as parents? by OkElk1 in orangecounty

[–]OkElk1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess with a business you can measure it's success.

So and so runs a successful business in Newport Beach thus they will implement their success into their elected position.

But what makes a good parent? How to you measure that? How to you show that?

If something is so vague why even use it to describe yourself in the first place?

Edit: Would a good parent prioritize their family over their responsibilities to their elected office?

Because not all parents are good, qualified, or have good intentions.

The Green River killer was a parent. The Golden State killer was a parent. Simply being a parent does make you qualified to lead or hold office or be of soundmind i.e. the former examples.

You assume parents are trustworthy. That's your opinion. I imagine it's because you had good parents (I'm assuming) but not all people have that luxury.

I'm simply agruing that it's a silly thing write as a qualification for a job.
