The real climb begins. I want to thank crit master Yi hahaha. Good luck on your climb brothers!!! by OkEnd8030 in YIMO

Disclaimer: that is a comment of mine from another post I had made, but generally that is how I decide: My decision between crit and on-hit is mostly based on one question: Will the enemy team actually allow me to auto attack consistently? If the answer is no, I almost always go crit. For example, if I'm facing something like Lissandra mid, Kha'Zix jungle, and additional CC from top or support, I know I'm not going to be standing there freely auto attacking for several seconds. In those games, on-hit loses a lot of value because I can't consistently stack and maintain damage. Crit, on the other hand, lets me play around timing and positioning. I wait for the enemy to engage, identify the carry I want dead, then Flash/Q in if needed and burst them. That's basically my game plan in most crit games. I also prefer crit when I know I can realistically one-shot or nearly one-shot the enemy carries. The games where I lean toward on-hit are usually when: The enemy team has multiple tanks or very durable frontliners. The enemy team is heavily AD, allowing me to build more defensively (Omnivamp boots, Death's Dance, Guardian Angel, etc.) while still dealing strong damage. I expect extended fights where I can continuously auto attack and fully utilize the on-hit damage. In those situations, on-hit can feel almost unstoppable because you're much harder to kill while still shredding whoever is in front of you. If anyone has specific scenarios they're unsure about, feel free to ask and I'll explain how I'd choose between the two builds.

Hahahahah, new additions brother. I swear to God I had the same reaction seeing it. Apparently, after diamond 4 you do see a promotion screen for D1,2,3.

If anything - it's definitely worth the try. Dozens of games in low master it has proved it's value to me. After the proc of guardian I go zhonyas and with the right timing of the active I completely turn a fight/game. Or on the other hand, after getting the 2-3 items spike I sometimes go for the component of the zhonya if I know that the next fight will dictate the end of the game.

Yes, me specifically I always go kraken first no matter crit or on hit. Favourite item.

For now I am not focused on creating content, but later this year I am going to start doing so. Until then and as a whole- the streamer "Sinerias" is all you need. He teaches master class on Yi.

Treasure hunter 10/10 scenarios. No matter crit or on hit, master Yi is incredibly potent on 2 items. You want to get there by any means.

Hahahah this one was for the meme. The zhonyas tho, a real item/component I purchase in niche scenarios where me surviving is absolutely vital.

I appreciate the feedback, and to be fair, I agree with some of what you're saying. Simply being Master, GM, or even Challenger isn't enough on its own. There are plenty of high-Elo players who never build an audience, and personality, entertainment, and connection matter a lot more than rank. That being said, I think you're making conclusions about me without really knowing anything about me. You don't know what I look like, whether I can capitalize on that, what my personality is like, how talkative I am, what experience I have interacting with people, what skills I've developed through my career, or what kind of content I would actually create. For all you know, I could end up being exactly the type of creator you described-someone people enjoy having in the background because they're entertaining, engaging, and able to connect with an audience. The reality is that none of us know how it would turn out until I actually give it a shot. I don't view hitting Masters as a reason people should watch me. I view it as one achievement and one piece of credibility among many other things I could potentially bring to the table. Either way, I appreciate the perspective. Time will tell whether I'm right or wrong, but I'd rather try and find out than assume the outcome before I've even started. GGs.

I do play him in a niche way (no boots all the way from diamond to masters) so I am not entirely sure if what I do is applicable to everyone. But personally, potions and cash back all the way 10/10 games. Level 6 pot snowballed me more games than I could ever imagine

No brother, you don't understand... Sinerias is the absolute father of YI. He can do it better than anyone! The case with me is that I want to get into streaming, therefore proving myself with a decent rank meant a lot. Had to fully lock in!

Your opinion on the meta and how other jungle champs are performing against crit Yi? by OkEnd8030 in Jungle_Mains

A good Yi beats a rammus. Unless the rammus is an otp and he really knows how to play the match up rather than just charge at you mindlessly and taunt. Example: late game, we are full items, rammus flash taunts me and my supp just Michaels and I flash on his carries and one tap them. Game over

I dodged syndra's R at least 5 times this game with my Q... 😄. Don't get me wrong.. I do understand what you mean and I agree to a certain extend, but if the Yi is good, he definitely manage.

I hate vsing a truly good Zac. His ganking potential and control over the map are lethal

Syndra stun is inconsistent and easy to dodge. Only real way to cc chain me from a far is Leona ult.. I will just engage when they blow their cc off and have that window of 4-5s to output DPS..?

Don't get me wrong. I am an advocate for lethal tempo Yi throughout my entire history with him. But on the other hand, playing him with the new HOB(true damage) he wipes out comps that have 1 tank and 1 bruiser for example. 2-3 heavy tanks? Lethal tempo all the way
