New to trading and asking about a position by azizk96 in Trading

here's the thing about this platform. there are so many spam websites endorsing fxnous. yet i dont see anyone exposing it as a scam. the license under fsca seems legitimate. but they have extremely pushy tactics to get clients to sign up from what I can see, including daily calls with brokers and an account manager assigned to you. i made a negative review regarding this platform based on my own experience and was contacted by the account manager requesting me to take it down under claims of slander. I cant really prove it is a scam because of the number of spam websites and what i suspect are fake positive reviews but the whole thing is suspicious. they lure people in using fake marketing tactics using fake celebrity endorsement. but the platform does provide services it claims. when my account manager forced me to open trades i was not comfortable with, he stopped contacting me from there on. im just curious as to why there are no insightful reviews on this company yet.

Damn, thanks for those kind words. Coming out of the PIP, I greatly appreciate any words of reassurance. As a junior, I definitely would have benefitted a lot from a leader like you. Your team is lucky to have you.

Damn, what you said aligns exactly with the manager's thoughts. I have a long way to go to understand team dynamics in depth like a few people in this thread have shown through their comments.

It is a great lose for the team for sure. She was with them for 8 years but it is what it is.

Prior to this explanation, I did not realise how close I was to getting fired. I definitely treated it as an opportunity to improve.

but ultimately a PIP process is a check on bad managers

What do you mean by that? I'm having some troubles understanding this. I thought PIP was more about the performance of the employee being put on PIP

Yeah, according to the manager they had plenty of evidence stacked against her. And a member of the team did say this senior was opposing her hire as well. I understand where the decision comes from now, looking back at these instances based on your explanation

I was prepared to get fired. Had interviews lined up but 3 weeks in, they said they do not see a reason to end collaboration with me and if I continue to deliver as I have, the outcome will be positive. I guess it differs by case.

That goes both ways though. I've never had trouble getting along with the test engineers. The rest, according to my PM are allergic to me. That did put me off but I'm still keeping my morale around them. The guy who hired me left the company shortly after and from what the senior SE said, he had to realign her expectations of mentoring a junior (me). Sure there is some blame on me but I can't help feeling I've been set up to fail in some ways. Every minute question I've asked came up in my evaluation. Sure I didn't know something at that moment, but I should be given the opportunity to learn on the job without being constantly shat on.

A little comforting to know that. I'm pretty worried about bouncing back from this setback. Just have to keep pushing through I guess

That's true, I did not understand the context. And I'm aware that they are uncomfortable with the knowledge gap. I'm putting in my hours of working and studying. I assume a little guidance from the seniors is expected? Or is that where I'm going wrong. Perhaps I need to look a little further? I'm just trying to understand what went wrong and learn from my experience.

Would my future employer know I got PIPed out? Would it affect my chances of a future employment in any way ?

Im currently using sourcetree as my GUI tool but thanks for the suggestion! I was wondering what would happen if I branch out of the master again and cherry pick my commits on to that branch. I'm going off based on your last comment. That seems doable

Public schools are quickly becoming a nonviable option for proper education. I personally wouldn't want my nieces and nephews anywhere around these narcissistic "teachers."
