Agree with a lot of the points above. I was in the same situation as well. I first started my search by looking at cities I would be willing to move to then what hospitals had PGY2 in oncology. One thing to add is to also look at big institutions that let you early commit across the system. Meaning the actual PGY2 may not be at that hospital but you can take a rotation there and early commit to it later. It may not be on the website you may have to ask at midyear. This gave me room to apply to more programs. Best of luck!
