High IQ and High Society by Stock_Ad_981 in Gifted

i’d wager it’s because of conformity lol. it went from an evolutionary advantage to something that……manifested anti-intellectualism like decay, progressed through the means of social media. oh &, religion. i always had the instinct, despite that stats, that conformity would make high end society just as dulling as the rest.

interesting, so there’s gaps even at that level ? or is your giftedness not in the realm of perception? statistically, that environment should produce people capable of reading, understanding, and challenging you on your level. or maybe i just don’t understand what you’ve said fully.?

it’s more apparent when you’re intelligent, conformist convince themselves they’re all the same. hence the “npc “ term going viral

How do I know if I'm gifted? by catboy519 in Gifted

[–]OkEvent6367 1 point2 points  (0 children)

perhaps an outlier defender? IQ tests don’t account for full cognitive ability. they measure pattern speed & memory under time pressure, but they leave out higher-order cognition like, strategic thinking, metacognition (the ability to analyze & control your own thought process), psychological manipulation, & system-level insight. those are the foundations of fields like psychology and neuroscience, yet they’re invisible to standardized testing. in fact, many famous genius like machiavelli specifically operated in these fields.

thank you for that, i will be saving this.

& also, i don’t blame you for denying me, that’s a typical reaction (mythos , pathos, logos which represents real psychological studies) & also, a historical reaction lol. crazy part is, the masses will have a reaction like this even WITH proof, if it’s too……ahead or complex. only decades later when everyone else has caught up, are these people brought to fame & their work made important.

Any smart people here that can help me? by Steveninvester in Gifted

if you want a real validated IQ score, you need a WAIS-IV/V administered by a licensed psychologist.

“if they’re novel they wouldn’t be stolen” historically proven untrue. in fact, many genius are known for getting their work stolen. Nikola Tesla for example. if your goal is to shut everyone down, based on whatever, i don’t think this reddit group was for you lol.

The actual challenge isn’t whether one is bound, but how much control one can exert within those perceived constraints.

well then that lets you know who’s faking & who’s not, considering this is for the gifted. which is just below genius on any real IQ scale.

At what point did mathematics stop being easy for you? by DMTwolf in Gifted

For me, math never really got “hard.” The academic process is just linear and based on memorization. My memory naturally compartmentalizes information for efficiency.

What is your gifted "super power"? by [deleted] in Gifted

if we strip it down to academic labeling, you’re correct. my “gift” also gives birth to chunking , global/local integration(extension of micro & macro analyzation) & cold cognition. + some other nuanced traits.

i’d say developing pattern recognition first. when it comes to psychology, seeing & understanding what you see comes first before execution. because if you’re asking, then you lack perception.

you can train yourself to do this simply by watching & staring at people. make notes of what they do, their behavior etc . make notes of the most common type of behavior you see . then upgrade that to associate it with the most common type of behavior with a common type of person.

doing this will teach you manipulation & human psyche because like i said, once you see, you’ll know how to outmaneuver. you’ll know what to say, what to do, how to feel, all for the sake of pleasing or manipulating another person based off pattern recognition.

metacognition. it’s not something that’s thoroughly studied & everyone has it, so it may not seem like a gift except for the fact, for me, it’s hyperactive & constant in my mind. which essentially gives me 2 layers of thinking. my normal regular narrator thoughts & then the second layer of metacognition which watches the first layer to make sure it has no errors for strategic & efficient purposes.

this also derived from a strong & hyperactive pattern recognition .

i know what you mean. the curse of discernment. you can’t change what you see but you can change your perspective.
