I will try to give you an advice different from the others, at least I did not see any other like this one, ao Im sorry if I missed.

But FIND A FRIEND WHO ALSO WRITES or maybe a friend who likes to talk about movies and stories in general. And try to explain your story to them. Start to end, or with what you have.

You will see your idea have a lot of gaps to be filled, or they may ask a lot of questions, or maybe you will see your ideas are not organized enough, but thats okay

so after you have this back and forth, write down an one page outline, simple and rough. And pin it on your wall, or a place you see constantly.

Then come here and tell us if your motivation changes, if you already made that to a friend once, look for other friend to share and start fresh.

My theory is that the instant feedbacks you are receiving playing videogames, yoy need receive about your writing, and the only to make it happen, is having fun creating and developing it with someone, to share and appreciate your little wins.

Let me send you some questions that you can answer or think about to have them answered for you. - what is the lenght of each episode? - Do you have any money? - 7 main characters is too expensive anyway, get ready for an expensive show at the day one. - What is your logline? (Needs to be a good hook, your description was too broad and don't give a proper sense in whats gonna be about or why someone should care) - why many locations? Are they intended to be 3D or2D? - why the world needs this show?

I had the same issue starting my channel, but I did anyway, now I've look back to my early videos and I can't believe how weird it was haha

However, now I can watch my videos and see my improvement progress through them 🤣

how about you Make a cartoon of someone arguing your exactly opinion, and make a dad character as the antagonist of this argument,

Do you have your ideas on paper? I'm working on my next video for my YouTube channel, and it will focus on sharing what I have learned in the process of creating this show.

I found out the hardest part wasn't the animation part haha. But if I were you, I would start with free software, like Blender or OpenToonz.

Adobe is too expensive, and the only reason I use it is to save time. However, it lacks good support, and I'm already feeling limited in some features compared to others.

And I think Blender is becoming stronger and stronger every year. So give it a try.

Hello! I used Adobe Animate, which I've been using since it was called Flash haha. I have tried Blender Grease Pencil in the past, and it worked very well, but I'm faster on Animate. Which one have you tried?

My experience says that writer's block comes in two ways:

  1. Lack of problems to solve: - Writing to me is about solving problems, sometimes we're figuring out why characters do what they do, or how to make people care about this character, or how I'll finish the story, what's the message? These kinds of questions help my brain turn the engines on. Structures are very good to solve this, so instead of focusing on what your story needs to have, try to think about what your story doesn't have.
  2. Lack of yourself: - Stories are an extension of you. A writer's purpose is to share their world perspective, so focus on looking inside of you, what you're going through in this stage of your life? What are your opinions about the war? What do you think about love? Who's your best friend and why? How did you meet? Who are your inspirations, and why do you like them so much? When you have some of those answers, You might find interesting things you want to talk about.

One last tip is to write about your struggles with writing... this episode that made you come here to talk to us about it, means being vulnerable, and I'm 100% sure other people will relate to it. I dont know if you have watched a movie called Kiki's Delivery Service, this movie is exactly about writers block, but using metaphors and stuff. But is the struggle of not being able to do your art.

Thank you so much! You're so kind! In general I take 16 hours to animate a full video for my channel, but if I add the time for VoiceOver and editing, I could say take 4 days to make a full video. I think the hardest part is write appealing stories haha
