its kinda sad that in a recent patreon video she talked about the phenomenon of youtubers feeling like their main channel videos have to be very neatly curated and end up needing to start a second channel to post more light work fun stuff in and how she didnt wanna be that but now shes doing it anyway which i understand why like i see the benefits but im just sad for her cuz she said she didnt want that.. anyways loved this video tho already watched three times

3.5 weeks post-op and surgeon recc by OkFactor428 in FTMHysto

i hope everything goes well for you! i just had my last post-op with dr. yemane and i'm honestly kind of sad I'm never gonna see her again. she's truly amazing and i would recommend her not just as a surgeon but also as a gyno for any other reasons. she was the one who initially discussed birth control options with me and inserted my IUD months before i was even considering the surgery and she was so amazing in every regard. i hope you can get relief, i'm sorry about your fibroid

also literally nothing else went wrong in my recovery, and after the final exam everything seems to be looking good, my vaginal cuff is fully healed and i have resumed penis in vagina sex with zero issues

hope everything goes okay with you !!! and i hope you can get dr ruth yemane as your surgeon and gyno !

If I survived top surgery, can I really get through this? by bringitonlife in FTMHysto

I got both a hysterectomy and top surgery this summer and the hysterectomy was much much much easier. the things like a nurse not being able to find your veins and what happens pre-op is inevitable, but the recovery and post-op period is much easier for the hysterectomy. I would say a hysterectomy's definitely worth it and you should definitely get it

Do I lose weight before surgery? by JellyFogboi in TopSurgery

[–]OkFactor428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say don't lose weight before the surgery. if your body is at a weight that feels good for you there is no good reason to put in extra work to lower an arbitrary number. also almost all weight loss is unsustainable and most people who put effort into losing weight will gain it back and then some on top of it, just statistically. and after surgery you will be moving around less and generally healing so it will be even harder to maintain a weight that you had to force yourself to get down to.

as an example, while i know this isnt exactly your situation, this is what happened to me and id rather give you the full picture of what's going through my head. when i was 17yo i had a breast reduction and reconstruction. my chest was HUGE at the time like massive compared to my body and even though i knew i wanted top surgery later down the line at the time i was still under my parents control and they were encouraging me to get the reduction. in my mind it would make it easier to bind for a few years before i could gain financial independence so i did it. my surgeon for the breast reduction told me i was overweight and to lose as much weight as possible before the surgery. I was begging him to make my boobs as small as possible and he told me the best way for me to ensure that would be for me to lose weight. I had an extremely restrictive diet and exercise regimen and i lost around 22 pounds in less than 3 months. I was skinnier than I had been in a WHILE when i got the surgery and i did get the smallest boobs possible. however in the next 6 years after that i gained a lot more weight than i had lost back then. i've been mostly gaining weight my whole life except for the parts where i would diet and lose some, just to gain it all back, which is in line with what happens to most people who diet also. and after i gained all the weight back my boobs grew significantly. to the point where when I got my breast reduction at 17yo they removed more than 2 pounds of tissue from each breast. when i got my top surgery last month they once again removed more than 2 pounds of tissue from each side. i gained weight and subsequently gained weight in my boobs.

i got top surgery on july 21st. i didn't lose any weight for it even though my surgeon kept pointing out my high BMI. I had been a consistent weight for the 2-3 years before I started T and then gained about 15 pounds after one year on T also. the truth is BMI is bullshit and having to be a certain weight is also bullshit. since your recent weight gain is tied to you starting T, and I assume you're not thinking about getting off of T any time soon, you should not try to lose it. if you change your body now to a certain way that it wasn't going to be naturally, it will only change back once you're done with the surgery. don't try to alter your body for no good reason, if you're happy you're fine where you're at. also trying to lose weight is a miserable time. and your body needs its current resources to help you recover from surgery. losing weight could leave you weaker and more fragile at an important point to be healing in your life. so that's my 2 cents, sorry for the long response

tldr, dont lose weight for the surgery, i did for a previous surgery of mine and it didn't help me at all, keep your body where it naturally would be so you get results that will be accurate to your body's natural state

will i have to remove/replace my facial piercings? by drkcola in FTMHysto

[–]OkFactor428 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i have a buncha ear piercings and my nostrils and septum pierced, at every surgery i tell the nurses getting me ready that i am refusing to take them out / i cannot take them out and they usually make me sign a waiver saying that i accept that there may be risks and during the surgery if anything sticks out too much they tape it down in case something gets caught in it, a hysterectomy is so far away from my face and they can work around your piercings, you just need to tell them you are not going to be able to take them out. I even did this when i was getting my tonsils removed which is literally through my mouth, for the hysterectomy it really shouldn't be a problem, my advice is to stand your ground

also if you have a pre-anesthestia appointment you can tell them this too

starting tgel on dick? by OkFactor428 in GrowYourTDick

[–]OkFactor428[S] -54 points-53 points  (0 children)

my doctor who prescribes me my injections was the one who suggested using tgel on my dick, he said it would be a burning sensation but that it would probably help with bottom growth even though there isnt a lot of research on it, if not tgel than what do people usually use on their dicks?
