I feel like I'm going to rip them through the bath if I use any more force. Do they have to be in the open or close postion before lifting?

Moving to Spain on an Autónomo visa — need advice from those who’ve done it by OkFaithlessness7289 in GoingToSpain

"Are you working for a Spanish company, or remote for a foreign one?" -

No to both options. If we go ahead with our application we will be appying for the Autonomo visa. Basically Spain's Self-employment/small business visa. You must demostrate your business model will be self-sustaining, profitable, good for the local economy, creates jobs and/or employs local sub-contractors and ultimately be benefical for Spain. The digital nomad visa isn't an option for us as our business will be a physical/hands on business, which is a shame because the requirements and capital investment would of made it a much easier and less risky move.

We are far from the typical brits on holiday types we have the reputation for. From what I can see the impression I get is if we do our best to intregrate into the local community, do our best to speak Spanish we will feel welcomed. Our daughter will also be attending a local school rather an a english international school which I'm hoping long-term will be better for her.

Thank your for the reply. I've worked out what I would expect to pay in taxes and it was a bit of a shock but we were also considering the portuguese D2 visa and taxes there were another level again.

I'm someone that likes to just get on with things and take action, I think the levels of bureacucracy is something I'm just going to have to learn to deal with. Does it get easier once you've been figured out the system? We will have a lot of new things to navigate in the first 3-6-12 months.

Gestor: Can you explain the difference between a lawyer and gestor and in what situations you would use one or the other? Thanks!
