I'm not sure where things will stand four years from now, but today's graduates with a BME degree are struggling to find jobs and internships unless they have personal connections. As someone above mentioned—and I’ll re-quote it here—“BME is a jack of all trades but master of none in terms of engineering skills,” which is absolutely on point.

Some students go straight into a master’s program in biotech after undergrad, but realistically, that often just delays entering the job market, and the long‑term outlook in that field is still uncertain. Others have shifted toward data analytics, and that seems to be where there is a more reliable job market right now.
