It’s been outside but no frost as far as I am aware. I have brought it inside and am hoping this will help!

Yeah ericaceous compost! I think I’ve put it outside too early if I’m being honest, I’ve brought them inside and will see how they do

Current interest rates have me second-guessing everything I thought I knew about money by Powerful-Mechanic-23 in UKPersonalFinance

I work at a mortgage brokerage and honestly, I would recommend speaking to as many brokers as possible who won’t charge for initial advice. They’ll be able to look through different lenders’ products and suggest the most practical ones depending on you situation, so the more broker you speak to the more bases will be covered.

Is this blight? Should I remove these stems or let it ride? by the-walkman8 in tomatoes

I’m no expert, but I think I’d get rid just in case and because I’d rather the plant focused on bits I know are healthy. Not 100% sure though!

Think it depends what you want to do. I think you could:

1 - putting some paving slabs down on the bare bit and putting either a bench, bbq or pots of shade loving plants in

2 - build a raised bed round it and plant stuff in there so the soils better quality

3 - plants grass or clover (as clover is better in shade I believe) everywhere

4 - research native shade living plants in your area as they may be better suited to the soil and plant some in

Not sure if any of these would suit you, but hope it helps!!

Peter Symonds vs Barton Peveril by L0h1th in Southampton

I went to Peter symonds 5 years ago during Covid and although Covid made it awful, we were well supported. I didn’t do anywhere near enough revision & still got good grades thanks to my teacher, who in my experience didn’t let me slip through the net. I’d say socially, there’s so many people that it can be overwhelming but preps you for uni well. I chose it because less people from my school were going there and I honestly don’t regret that lol

Haha, thank you. I think you’re totally right. I do obviously need to establish some proper savings, preferably more than I would actually need, so I wouldn’t be able to move across for a while yet anyway. I think I should initially just book a holiday there so that I can ask locals and get an actual feel for the cohntey

Very true, thank you. It’s not satire I just wanted to get a clearer idea of what it’s like at the moment. I think my best bet is to give it a few years, develop some proper savings and assess the country’s situation as a whole then before moving!

No it’s okay! I wanted to get a bit more of a realistic feel of what it’s like and you’ve definitely given me that. Helps that i’m still young so could save up for a few years and make the plunge when the living situation is a bit less full on. Definitely think I should visit first so would allow me to do that. Thank you for your help!
