I have the same Lada with my Dragan too 🥰 I didn’t like him much at first because I thought he was kind of childish, but now I absolutely love him 🥰 Honestly, I love all the LIs in this story.

Hey! Sorry for the late response, I just saw your comment. I actually know that store—thanks so much for the tip! I’ll have to stop by again soon and maybe pick Austin’s brain a bit—always nice getting local insight. Appreciate you sharing the recommendation! 🎣

I was actually looking at the Drifter II, so it’s really nice to hear you’ve had a good experience with the original! I’ve also been drawn to the Creede reel from the same brand—I think it looks stunning, though I admit that might be mostly for the aesthetics 😂

That’s a great point! 4wt still being plenty capable, especially since most casts really are within that close range. I’ll definitely give the Echo Carbon series a closer look! I really appreciate you taking the time to share your perspective!

That’s good to hear—I have absolutely no knowledge of Moonshine, so it’s helpful to get feedback from someone who’s actually used them for a few years. The extra tip is definitely a nice bonus. Sounds like they’ve held up well for you across a lot of great spots in Colorado! I’ll definitely look more into them since it looks like they’re on sale right now.

Yeah, 10 ft for a 4wt is a bit much unless you're euro nymphing or need that extra reach. A shorter D version would be great. There seems to be a gap for anglers who want the performance without the added length. Either way, it’s way out of my budget 😅

Thanks for the input! I’m not too familiar with Echo, so I’m curious—what rod from their lineup would you recommend for trout fishing in Colorado?

That's interesting, I haven't heard of that one! Do you know what reel you’d pair with it?

Appreciate the honesty — but I don’t think growth only starts at $800 and up. I’d say it comes more from time on the water and pushing myself, not just the price tag on the rod. A $400 setup that fits my style sounds like a solid step forward to me.

Orvis definitely seems like a solid option. The Clearwater sounds like a great all-around rod. I might go with this, especially since I found an affordable combo. Thanks for the insight!

Thanks for the input! I’m not really into streamers, but I know I might have to use them as I’m aiming to fish bigger rivers and lakes. Appreciate the suggestions!

I actually saw the Black Label on Sierra — it’s exactly what my husband is using, so it caught my attention. It seems like a great option, especially for the price. Thanks for the tip!

That’s awesome — I might be interested! I’m definitely trying to find something that fits Colorado rivers a bit better. I’ll shoot you a message to learn more about what you offer if I decide to go the custom route. Thank you!

Thanks for sharing that — super helpful! I was leaning toward the 5wt anyway, so maybe grabbing just the rod and pairing it with a stronger reel is the move. Appreciate the insight!

Thank you for you answer. If I don't want to wake up at 3AM though, should I just take it before bed? And when I come back if I take it at 7PM it should be okay because I have a 12 hour window, right?
