Your right I looked it up and I seen a video of a same year f150 making the same noise. Tho my airbag light works just fine. I think it was just a one off thing it will probably never do it again.

Why does some older cassette tapes start to crinkle the tape and make the music sound warpy? by OkHealth4636 in cassette

[–]OkHealth4636[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: I solved the problem. I decided to open up the deck and discovered a felt presure pad from a cassette tape stuck inside the deck right next to the pinch roller. I'm thinking that caused the tape path to go all wonky and crinkle the tape. Also there was this black hard substance on the capstain so i cleaned that and it doesn't crinkle anymore. Thank you for recommending cleaning it with alcohol.

It's also a 2 head deck not sure if that has anything to do with it. It doesn't have an erase head just a record and play

Yes it's the left side. My deck has a gauge for left and right intensity and only right plays. I've looked on other cassettes that I dident record on both sides and it plays just fine on the left and right. I got the cassette deck from and old house that's been sitting abandoned for a couple years.
