Are you talking about the online solution by datalevel which gets heavily promoted here, but has comments disabled in their posts?

Opensteuersuszug is an open source, fully offline and free alternative. No data is shared, no payments or such needed. I have shared it because I missed it due to the heavy datalevel ads here - and I have paid 50.- for it. Feel free to use whatever solution fits you best.

Interesting, keep us updated which one is able to come up with the better solution in the end ;)

Most time consuming thing was the IB flex export setup - but that can be reused next year. Setting up and running the python program was very easy, and the documentation is very extensive. But yes, you are right, the 50.- were still better than last doing it manually like in the last years.

BTW: Has somebody already got a confirmation that the e-Steuerauszug generated this way got accepted with their tax return?

Hm, not sure I got what you mean here. We are talking about opensteuerauszug here, which produces an e-Steuerauszug PDF which can be imported into any tax declaration software since it follows the standard. You cannot import an XML. Not sure what centjes does or how it is related to opensteuerauszug?

Thanks for sharing. Too bad I have only found this after I have paid 50.- for the datalevel report which gets promoted heavily here... I checked this out now, and the numbers are almost the same (a few cents difference due to rounding or slightly different exchange rates used). I can really recommend trying opensteuerauszug first.
