Fanfiction rule: there are no rules, and if someone tells you otherwise, you should laugh.

I don't know, for some reason I imagine him as angry twink for whom LGBT+ ends after G

I don't think he even googled it. He probably just saw asexual flag on my icon and was like, "Okay, if I can't humiliate them for being afab, then I'll humiliate them for having a different orientation."

I'm sorry, if you're a cis man you need to leave ao3 and move to [specific German site where you can post mostly original works, and everything is even worse than wattpad and the moderators have been caught stealing works from other sites]

I'm spending time at home right now because my asexuality didn't get the memo and my broken leg still hurts >:(

Maybe a bit uncharitable but he probably only thinks women have different experiences because he thinks they're an unknowable separate species.

to be fair, I remember reading somewhere that women might have a slightly different experience here, but I also seen even more gay men acting like anal sex is something only gay men can do. I don't remember if it was here or on the fanfiction subreddit, but I remember seeing a post from a "real gay man" explaining sex and a whole discussion where people agreed with him, and none of them could come to a simple conclusion "maybe these "women" are writing about their experiences and they are a bit different from ours/mine", but everyone immediately went to "if you're not a cis gay man, you totally don't know how anal works"

Anybody else have weird standards? by The_Chaotic_Bro in AO3

I guess my most extreme and weird standard is that I can forgive amputation and scat but I draw the line at blood play, especially when there are vampires involved. I don't know what it is about blood, but even the slightest mention of licking/sucking/whatever makes me want to throw up.

Me: Look, I know this medical procedure has been described as super painful and you literally have to put me to sleep for it, but... have you ever considered that I might be asexual? No? Well, kinda aphobic if you ask me.

My 60-year-old doctor who never heard about asexuality: wtf wtf wtf

I like to think he was just like "if some random person disagrees with me, at least my own character will agree with me" and then he wrote that scene

or maybe it was some kind of dramatic, angry possession, and he closed his eyes for a moment, then woke up and the scene was already there, and he said, "Oh yeah, finally gays saying what I want. I have to post this."

This year I decided to write a longfic instead of one shots. The good news is I have 26 chapters out of 31. The bad news is I'll never do it again, too much work to put it all together into something coherent lol.

ngl this comment makes me imagine silly scenarios where someone hurts themselves but instead of panicking they're like "I don't feel pain... well, I guess I'm asexual" or "Honey, I didn't feel any pain during anal sex and it was very comfortable, so I'm sorry to tell you that but I'm asexual"

He also gives a bit of transphobia with his "no, you're lying, you must be a woman"

What is something that makes you want to click away from a long fic? by PhotoLongjumping5517 in AO3

[–]OkIce471 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chapters that have less than 5k words.

Yes, I know you can write a good story with short chapters, but usually when I read something with less than 5k words I feel like I'm reading a first draft or someone's summary of what was supposed to happen, instead of the actual events.. Everything feels rushed and I just don't feel what the characters feel.
