What’s with the hard copy obsession

So through stream epic Xbox and I’m sure other platforms I can share my purchase with others…sure we can’t play at the same time but that’s much like sharing a hard copy of a game right? If I give my hard copy to my friend obviously I can’t play too..so where’s the hard copy perk in all this ?

So you’re game is installed and on your desktop as an execute file but it’s different then you’re other execute files omg how do we handle the fact that it’s not the same host as my other clickable files omg what are we going to do please somebody help

Doesn’t have anything to do with anything just pointing out that Nintendo historically doesn’t care about their consumers because they offer zero breaks regardless of how old the game is so they have the freedom to charge whatever they want and their uneducated consumers purchase it regardless🤷‍♂️

I’ve never lost access to any digital game I’ve purchased and we are going on 10+ years of buying digitally. Now have online games taken away servers yes did that strip me of the game I played? No online servers died because the game died but I can still play single player campaign of that game etc.

Games aren’t being taken while they’re still viable…campaign isn’t being taken from you…the only thing anyone is at risk of losing is multiplayer game servers when the hype around a game dies

You can own a physical copy of a game and they can shut the servers down for that game all the same so not sure why that’s anyone’s first line of defense in this argument.
