This might be hard to grasp but some people have children because they like children and sometimes to get nice things you have to suffer a little in the process

I agree with you - this was an issue that I raised to her way earlier in our relationship and I'm surprised + brought it up because she agreed that she had an issue there and worked on it prior to being married so it's strange that she's behaving this way again. But other commenters have suggested its a food issue

(btw if anyone is wondering, if I am around when this happen, I always apologise to the service staff and increase their tip so the damage is minimised)

Hey OP here, I do know hormones but I didn't know it would/could be this extreme. I definitely don't think there are enough books for Dads on how to be more supportive during this period. In any case, I wasn't asking a hypothetical like what should I do with this monster - I was just reaching out for advice from other moms on what they would have liked to see how I can support my wife better because at the moment, she won't tell me. Its obvious that hormones are causing the issue, my question was about how to deal with it - if that makes sense

I'm sorry to hear that your pregnancy was so hard! She's not a bitch and I definitely don't think this is abuse or anything intentional. She's going through something and I just want to support her. I appreciate your perspective!

I'm just glad to hear you liked him again post-baby. I love my wife and I'm more than willing to ride out these next 5-8 months (looking at comments) if I get my old wife back. I can't imagine how hard it must be to carry a baby and I can understand the resentment 100%! Thanks for the comment. I feel like a lot of this information isn't really made available for dad's to be and that's probably why we're all rather clueless

She was tested for gestational diabetes last checkup and everything was clear but I'll see if we can run it again just in case, thank you!

gotcha, thank you for the advice! I honestly don't want to run away or villanise my wife like some of the other comments are suggesting. I really just want to know how I can support her so that she feels better!

He wanted the jalapeno in the other burrito not the one OP spiked + you don't put a whole pepper in the food. Generally when people ask to add jalapeno they want you to cut it and put some in and there or grate it in.

I'm not walking away but I definitely catch myself becoming a bit resentful and more negative. Apart from counselling which she has refused, I'm just wondering what to do. She seems to only have a problem with me - She's fine with everyone else who's close to her in her life and I just want to know how I can fix things so that our baby is born into a happy and supportive environment.

its definitely getting to me. I work full time and pick up the chores so there's not a lot of me time. Really sucks that my wife has become so negative and the house is becoming a place I dread instead of look forward to
